It's about a year ahead; remember when he made his bacon into a 52 for his birthday in the diner in episode 1 of the season, while his 51st birthday was 3 episodes ago? He had the New Hampshire license and plates in that opening sequence, so maybe he was in witness protection or something in that flash forward.

Yup, that scene is from the last episode of the series, a year from now. The only things we know are that he is there to "protect someone" and is alone.

I think Mike looking at his granddaughter, contemplating on whether to leave or not, was another Heat reference. That, the ending of Dead Freight, and Hank outright namedropping the movie, makes three.

Walt is further gone each episode. I remember reading some time back that his character is going to come full circle. I'm not sure what they meant exactly by that, but he has become too much of a bas for people to ever care about him again.

Once Jesse finds out everything he's done, 's going to go down. He seems to be sympathizing with Skylar so it wouldn't surprise me to see them hook up (I don't mean sexually) to take some type of action against him.

Based on the results that Walt's meth was able to produce, I'd say the market rewards the superior meth pretty generously, and in order to permanently outclass the compe ion, it's necessary for Walt to run the show.
