I think this could actually be a good move. Worst case scenario, the Spurs have the same problem as last year. Best Case - Spurs solved the hole in the paint.

I am not against this move at all, but why swing for the fences on Curry but not Blatche? Assuming both of them get their acts in line and live up to their potential, Blatche is younger and a better fit next to Tim. I can't complain because this is a high reward no risk scenario, but it is just odd. I pray that the FO has some inside track on Curry and he finally becomes what he always should have been. Lets see what he has got!
Eddie Curry has hit bottom. Blatche hasn't. He's still getting paid like 24M over the next three years whether he applies himself or not.

Jackie Butler never averaged 20 pts and 7 boards in an NBA season.

He looks to be in damn good shape. Obviously, San Antonio is not the best place to go to stay thin. Hopefully this works out in some way and he doesn't end up with diabetes mellitus type 2. I like the idea behind this move of trying to get big. I hope this means Pop is interested in size over small ball this year...at least to a degree that makes sense.

Edit: The dude is most definitely lazy, but if I was to armchair diagnose I would guess he might be ADD and loses interest (and gains weight) when he doesn't get playing time. Clearly, the Spurs medical staff should diagnose him as such and put him on stimulants/appe e suppressants. Or wait...doesn't he have a problematic heart condition?

I don't think he's playing this year anyway so he'd just ride the bench all year. Next year is a different story

    The new BIG THREE:
    DeJuan
    Eddy
    Boris
I thought the "Big Three" was slang for Curry's weight?

Pop's approach to defending Howard: "if you can't beat 'em, eat em."

When Eddy Curry takes a charge, airbags deploy from his uniform.

Little known fact: Eddy Curry is the only NBA player with reinforced shoes.

DeJuan Blair doesn't have any ACLs. Because Eddy Curry ate them.

The Miami Heat declined to resign Curry for the upcoming season, stating his presence had "cast a large shadow over the team."

When Curry first saw a Whataburger sign, he took the name as a challenge.

Spurs used to give tenured players large contracts to reward them for their loyalty. Now they sign large players who can't land a contract in order to show them some sympathy.

Curry actually had another offer before he signed with the Spurs, but unfortunately he lost the paper in his cleavage.
