Maybe that is what SJax needs to do? Please don't complain, Spurs are picking up right where they left off.
What do you mean that is what SJax needs to do?

tims d this game...why didnt he attempt to block that favors dunk..?
He already picked up a foul, that would've been his 2nd in the first. Wasn't worth it...

Man that 3rd quarter was classic NBA bs,TV ratings dont like blow-outs and the Spurs... no.
The refs choked on their whistles for most of the 3rd as the Jazz slowly figured out they had the green light to foul the away on defense and the Spurs were gettin' called for being even near a jazz ball-handler.F! that, man do I miss the days when the NBA wasn't such a corporate entertainment product....

Thanks timvp! Always look forward to your grades. Only saw part of the game, but will be watching it all this evening. Thanks for the hopeful caveat that Tiago usually picks up his game as the season goes on.

    Just stop...

This had nothing to do with the refs.

I don't get the grades sometimes tbh. How's Diaw a high grade like B+ and Duncan, Leonard and Green just A-'s? Diaw was a ghost on offense, and those other three were good on both ends fo the floor and scored nearly half our points. Those other three played much better overall games.

Unless something has changed, they're graded on a curve. More is expected from Parker, Duncan and Leonard than Diaw, so they have to be better than average(For them) to get a good grade.

That's what I thought before, but that's why I included Green in my question. Seems weird that he'd only get an A- while playing good D and dropping 21 pts with only one miss, and Diaw gets a B+ with 2 points scored. Green pretty much did well above what I'd expect from him typically, and Diaw really stunk on offense imo (not just scoring but just being passive and sloppy. I think Diaw is expected to play decent D', and to do a lot more than he did on offense. So the B+ just seems out of place imo. No big deal though, most of them seem accurate to me.

That's why they are called 'quick grades'.

How can Stephen Jackson be passive when no one passes him the ball? He hardly even gets a touch on offense. He doesn't need to shoot the ball every time he gets it, but why don't his teammates pass him the ball so he can at least get a touch every now and then. It's gotta be hard for him to get any kind of rhythm going when he doesn't even see the ball.

I've kind of had enough of Gary Neal just running down the court and jacking up shots. It's getting ridiculous. He needs to get people involved.

Jackson is more of a spot up shooter when playing late in the 4th. With the 2nd unit he has more free range post smaller players attack the rim off the dribble and off of screens.

No one passes him the ball though, even when he is open for a shot he gets frozen out at times, with Neal I assume he just doesn't see him, but even Manu seems to ignore him at times too.

Game 6 in OKC is another example. He was locked in and they still didn't even really look for him all that much, didn't really run any plays for him to get open when he was hot.

Speaking of ignoring - why doesn't Mills get a decent run ?

He hasn't played deserving of minutes lately, if he had his form of late last season than yes but ultimately other players are playing better right now

More like your bull defense gave up 13 softly--contested points in a row to Mo Williams, and turning the ball over recklessly. Have some ign parity, what about mentioning a garbage 3inthekey call that took away Hayward three, which could've made it a 2 point game?
    lol Jazz lost

True. but you can really say that about almost any wing that Manu plays with. Manu passes mostly when attacking off the screens. He forces wing defenders to collapse and then can kick out. Jackson isn't the same spot up 3pt shooter as he was in his 1st time with the spurs he is starting to play more in the post. dribble off the screens and attack the rim he actually doesn't take 3pters as much as he used to IMO.
