Brother, that alone says its close, tbh. God bless
this is the worst president ever, jack... "close" is an indictment to either Mitt, your team or both... and if it ends up being a landslide?

Looks like he's going to miss Virginia... other than that, fairly spot on... I'm gonna bump my poll snapshot thread tomorrow and we can compare vs Rasmussen and the like
Half a million votes still to come in from northern Va.

Nope, we need more than 2 parties to effectively govern this country and bring more than just 60% into the fold. The two major parties are an epic failure that merely sandbags all other challengers to ensure their dominance.

It's why I vote 3rd party as much as possible

I don't really see the GOP coming out of crazytown anytime soon. Who's the voice of moderation in the GOP? They're going to do what they did last election cycle, claim that Romney wasn't conservative enough, and keep trying to push to the right. They'll probably say, "Hey, we lost by a ton with McCain, who was a maverick, and then we lost by a little less with a Republican who ran Massachusetts and implemented Obamacare! Next time, we need a deep south Republican who's never voted on anything sponsored by a Democrat!"

I know it's an unpopular opinion but I like the two party system more than any singular party. The system itself isn't perfect but it works. When one side gains an advantage, the other side is forced to conform more to popular opinion to make up the ground. And then that process is repeated forever by each side to ensure they can appeal to ~50% of the population. Again, far from perfect and it makes progress extremely slow ... but it works.

    God Bless the USA

    Go Purple Go
Agreed, but I'm not sure the republican party is smart enough to figure that out.

To show that his odds we're close, you'd have to run multiple elections.

You can insult me if you want, but you are a recent grad and I've been doing this stuff for over 20 years.
He does run simulated elections... not sure if you count that or not. Obviously, you can't run multiple actual elections, so using that as a basis for your viewpoint would pretty much invalidate any pollster.

tbh, after Sandy, Christie had to eat a lot of humble pie (not that he can't handle it) about government help... he's been moderating his dialogue quite a bit lately, and I can see him being part of the new GOP.

A major calamity like 9/11 or war will be the only way you see another hard-line social conservative in the white house. They will adapt or die. Meanwhile, dems will things up worse if there is nobody to check them

tbh, it would be nice to have someone who is consistent. i know that 's impossible in today's landscape, but Ron Paul was the last guy since Nader that had principles and purpose. But neither had a chance.

And yet you constantly post that is wrong. Why? You fall back on your history that no one here knows about. All we know is your posts and how often they are wrong. Why do you get so much here Darrin? Is it because turnout is not at 2008 levels or because polls are D+6 and they shouldn't be?

By the way, I'm in agreement that social coservative issues are dead (at least to me). I care about the economy and energy -- not vaginas and fudge packers. Small govt should not be in your bedroom or up your vagini.

I would also say that Rubio is set to make a serious run in the next cycle. He's the one guy who can flip Hispanics toward the GOP. While the party ideology may be stale, they have plenty of stars who can make some waves in the future

I'd like to say the Democrats will keep winning until Republicans reform their social policy, but I don't see a Democrat taking the steps needed to sort out the debt and deficit. Eventually the economic house of cards will fall down under Democrats and the electorate will elect anybody but a Democrat, regardless of Republican social policy.

Congrats on your $20bn debt goals for 2016.
