Yeah, I'm curious if he gets reinserted into the starting lineup right away. He's been away for quite some time. But a Splitter/Duncan/Leonard/Green/Parker starting lineup sounds intriguing.
Good to finally have Kawhi back.![]()
I hope Green is excited for Kawhi's return.

Now to get Manu back into the starting lineup and suddenly that team's scary good.
A second unit of Manu, Jack, Boris, and Neal/Patty/Nando is pretty "scary good" as well. Obviously Matt and Blair will get some pt from time to time, but hopefully their minutes will be more reasonable. Tomorrow should be a good game to get everyone back on the same page, though I'm expecting a big win.
Well the point is to have a secondary playmaker in the first unit to help when teams trap TP, since they are all in the second unit as it is : Nando, Manu and Boris.
That said we won't be scary anything with the twin towers until we get a decent backup center who can rebound.
Two good points for sure. That's why Boris in the starting line-up has always had it's appeal to me. I wonder what the method of Pop's madness is with Tim and Tiago together and no backup center. It's going to be interesting to see how the minutes get distributed....
Either they plan on getting a backup center who can rebound or they believe Blair is that guy....... Jk. Hopefully.
What I also really like about starting Manu again is that TP has never shot the corner 3 as well as this year, before it hurt us to have TP in the corner when Manu was handling the ball, now I don't think it does anymore.
Kawhi not going back to the starting lineup tonight per Twitter..
resting his leg has very probably cost him conditioning. The way Pop works, KL may not be allowed full minutes until after ASB.![]()
Smart move. Ease him in for a game or two..
Leonard to return against Hornets

“I’m feeling good, ready for tonight’s game,” Leonard said. “It’s been a while since I played. I’m happy. I love the game of basketball. It was a long process to get back to where I’m at. I’m just happy to get on the floor and enjoy the game.”
Leonard said he will likely come off the bench. He said he was not notified of any specific minute allocation. Leonard put his physical condition at around 90 percent.

He does look very exited![]()
I'm thrilled to be back!!
Jimmy Smith @JimmySmithtp
Tonight's #Spurs starters: Green, Duncan, Splitter, Neal, Parker.
Very happy he's coming back. I love watching him disrupt other players. Pop may be a maddeningly overprotective type, but least we took our time. I just hope his leg is stronger than before.
Tony said he expect Kawhi to start tomorrow: http://www.nba.com/spurs/video/121222_parker
For some reason, I never get mad at Kawhi. He along with Duncan is the only guy I don't get upset with. I really like this kid.
Yep, we really need Kawhi, I hope his leg is strong enough to go and not have any problems with it. He really does make a big difference to the team and it shows he was missed while he was out.
Seconded. Those two are the only ones I rarely, if ever, get mad at. That's not to say they don't screw up out there, but with Duncan or Kawhi, I always feel that if their shot isn't working they don't force it, they'll just focus on what they can control, like rebounds, better defense etc...I always have confidence in both players.
