You are talking about the same Pop who got backdoor swept last year, lost to an 8th seed the year earlier, and then was swept by the Suns, the year before that. Where was Pop's genius when it mattered? Also, Phil Jackson barely beat the Hornets in 2011 and was swept by a jump shooting team after that. Call it fatigue, call it whatever, thats how it ended. And Phil's ego cost him the job more then the Lakers taking it pringles. If Phil didn't play the "I'll let you know Monday" bullcrap and just taken the job on Saturday, he would be coaching the Lakers right now. This is the LA Lakers baby. If the lakers blow it the next year and a half, who cares, they will clear 60 mil off the books and build around a prime big man. So, everyone needs to start paying attention to reality instead of the fantasy. Phil wouldnt have made one ounce a difference and this team turns the ball over like my kids pee wee team every other play and can't stop a freakin nosebleed with a tampon. That's why they are losing. If they needed a 65 year old man with a cane to get them to stop turning the ball over and being lazy on D, well, then they need to turn in their paychecks and retire.
