Let me know![]()
Great, those assholes are messing up Canada's rep as well. No surprise, they're 90% owned by the Canadian Postal service.
Now I gotta aim to be out the door at 6:30 so I can grab it . Doesn't help it's going to feel link -22C (-8F) tomorrow![]()
Alright, got my One X+, yeah buddeh!
I just ported my number from Rogers to Telus. Eat a Rogers (I know they're all the same, but at least I'm on a corporate account)!
#Root and flash mfer !!!!!!!!!
when I get home tbh.
The screen is amazing. Very snappy. Sense isn't bad, but would prefer AOSP 4.2.
Yeah its a beast
The only thing you may miss from Sense is dat camera
But like you, I like Sense but prefer the "pure" Android UI and lockscreen
Phone is boss, tbh.
Nicest display I've ever seen on a phone. Build quality is top notch, and even Sense >>>>> TouchWiz.
HOWEVA, gotta exchange it. The earpiece has a buzz/sound distortion at max in-call volume. Annoying as .
Niiiiiiice... yeah Sense s on TW
For your bug, it may come from the earpiece pnly ... have you looked it up in XDA forums or on the internetz ?
And what ROM are you looking at ?
Yeah, it's a problem I've seen report on xda for some people with HOX/HOX+. It's a hardware issue, my buddy doesn't have this issue on his. When I lower volume it goes away, but that, I'm not comprising for something I'm paying for.
Haven't looked too much into ROMs since I'm exchanging but the Elegencia Rom looks good. And I hear it fixes an issue the phone has with BT phone calls (crackling/static when I synced my car to phone).
AOSP > TW > Sense > all other custom UIs, IMO.
Seeing how much custom UI crap is running in the background, taking up RAM and battery, was an eye-opener for me.
I absolutely detest TW and its Gingerbread-looking skin, atrocious. Seeing it on my SII when I first had GB then seeing it on my friends SIII with JB still was just shocking.
For me it's AOSP/AOKP > Sense > Motorola >>> TW > Everything else
In my experience, AOSP give worse battery life, on the S3 it's clearly the case at least.
Also the camera is often terrible.
Also pretty sure it doesn't support EXFAT on external sd cards, so it makes it impossible to have file over 4Gb, well who needs full HDrip on his phone, ok but still it limits quite a few features.
So yeah, I'm not sure what is the buzz about AOSP all about, it looks a bit more "fluid" in the menus, a bit prettier I agree, but cons overweight the pros for me.
I would agree with this pecking order except for all of the cool features that Samsung has included that are tied to touchwiz. Looks. Sense >>>>> TW. Functionality TW>>Sense.
As far as the camera, there are dozens of free camera apps if you don't like the features in the stock camera app.
I haven't ever needed anything over 4gb but a quick (admittedly superficial search) seems to indicate that it can read exfat.
the buzz is it is quicker, takes fewer resources, and there is something wrong if it is not extending your battery life.
Yeah, it might be a kernel related issue. I've never had a AOSP/AOKP rom that didn't extended my battery life compared to any other UI.
Admittedly I haven't used TW since 2011, when it came with my SII with Gingerbread. What cool features are you referring to?
The stuff they show in commercials, multiview and such.
I don't have a samsung so I can't comment on all of it, but basically whatever you see in commercials.
I have great battery life with AOSP/AOKP roms
Pretty good speeds around my area, tbh
Tried the Nexus and I liked it. However, it's hard to love it because:
a. the screen is too small. I'd like to call this the Note II effect
b. storage space is too low for my liking.
So is it true you have a Note II purse tbh?
I'm not Algerian, so no.
lol I thought it was a California thing
Its okay, if you want we'll call it a Note bag![]()
