it takes all of 5 seconds to pull up season-specific FT% from nba.com or basketball-reference. Although, I suppose your bar for stat-related "research" could be abnormally low.

RHYTHM. Manu is utterly a rhythm player, when he gets his groove back he'll be automatic again.

So your bar for stat-related "research" is low. That's fine - I'm not judging. And just for the record, I don't view you as a lesser person because you resorted to uncivilized insults. I'll even let you have the last word if want to respond to this post with another insult.

Meh, that's typical of Manu when he's working his way back from injury. He'll go through these rough patches but then it'll even out when he becomes all but automatic when he rediscovers his rhythm.
This. How can people not be intimately familiar with the two sides of Manu Ginobili by now? The 'working himself into form' Manu where you never know what you're going to get, and the 'in form' Manu who's a bad ass and only does about 15% wrong and 85% right.

    This.

Manu really relies on being confident....right now he isn't

It concerns me less than Neal's extended shooting slump. You can count on Manu.

He still has to get his legs back after missing some time. Takes longer now as he gets older.

He's fine. Look, if a guy shoots 80%, that means he's missing one of every 5 shots.

He's basically only missing one more FT per game over the last few games than usual. It's not a big deal. At some point he'll go 8/8, 9/10, 6/7, 6/6 etc, which will pump his FT% back up to around 83-84%. Which btw, is good.

Ginobili's FT shooting isn't as consistent as guys like Westbrook and Durant because he doesn't consistently get to march to the FT line and take 10 shots there every night. He gets anywhere between 0-6 a game usually. With the sporadic attempts, you get fluctuating performance. He's rounding back into shape right now too, so let's give him a week or two before talking about how he's done. He pretty much hasn't been healthy yet this year.

He's fine. Look, if a guy shoots 80%, that means he's missing one of every 4 shots.
You sure that's what that means?

He's shooting 82% from the free throw line this year, guys. He's down from the 85-90% he has been at over the last few years, but it's not a huge difference.

It wasn't until 2006-2007 that he became an elite free throw shooter. Here were his numbers prior to that:

    2002-2003 - 74%
    2003-2004 - 80%
    2004-2005 - 80%
    2005-2006 - 78%

And then he shot from the mid- to upper-80s from there on out until this year, but he's still at 82%, which is better than in either of his first four seasons.
    Nice find!

I did notice Manu was putting too much weight on his back foot while shooting a FT the other night in PHX.

Yea Manu should've hit it, but we shouldn't even have been in that situation. Spurs looked stagnant all night, and made way too many dumb mistakes. TO's killed us, and kept PHX in the game. Then putting Wesley Johnson on Tony completely disrupted the flow of our offense, as usual. This was just one game, but that scheme is what should really worry everyone. We better learn how to score points when a bigger defender is on Tony or we'll be going home a lot earlier than expected in the playoffs.

basically... the miss is inexcusable when you're in the position we were on, but if a lottery team like the Suns made it a 3 pt game after 48 mins in your house, you have bigger problems.

    ^ this

Manu hits both FTs and the Spurs win 101-100 in regulation...but the game shouldn't even have been that close.

This is how losing streaks start. I predict the Spurs lose at least the next two games. Watch.
