i have a problem with s who fled their country who do the above, enjoy the freedoms over another countrys laws but wont allow that same freedom to another group of people, look at commies or any family that had political ties who are living it up in westernize countries while their people back home are living like and denying them the same lifestyle they have....world aint perfect, but if you slate everything you are not better then anyone else....

I don't have anything against the state, it's about career aspirations. The job I have is a good job in banking but it's not I-banking. I-banking leads to private equity which is where all money grubbing Jews want to be, and I've already got a few good connections for possible I-banking jobs down the road if I can't successfully network my way into I-banking where I'll be working.

Sure NY is a hub for that, but you'd be surprised about the amount of PE firms in Dallas. Houston as well.

Well, I actually have an Italian heritage (had Italian citizenship before American), and actually live in the Jersey Shore ()... your typical guido here speaks English, retains some Italian cultural things, but overall they're proud Americans.

They're also don't forget where they come from, but that's where it ends.

As a former non-mexican-Latino, that's something I never understood about Mexicans... the whole 'La Raza' pride... I mean, logically speaking, you left your country because it ing sucks... why would you want to turn this country into the same hole you left? DoK is spot on about Latin-American countries... they're full of corruption and incompetence.. why in the world would you want to transplant that here?

Everyone, from a variety of different ethnicities and backgrounds, is making similar observations about Mexicans and the whole "La Raza" mentally that seems to dominate their way of thinking, but yet you refuse to acknowledge that maybe we have a valid point.

It's not blind bigotry. The perception that you've created for yourselves is that you're here out of necessity rather than a legitimate love for the country.

Maybe we're wrong. But the Mexican immigrants sure as ain't doing anything to convince us otherwise.

If you move to Canada and become a Canadian citizen yet don't cheer for their soccer team yeah you're dissing them. The Raptors aren't a team representing Canada as a nation.

Being American, I feel the need to always root against American teams in soccer. Reason being, I don't want the best athletes in the world to be playing some third world when they could be training for real sports that don't suck. The horror if the next LeBron James ends up as some flopping got doing gay-ass corner kicks and then buttsexing the rest of the team in celebration of their 0-0 tie.

We had this conversation before... I like Argentina and Italy, still have family in both places, but I don't hang an Argie or Italian flag in the front porch. Sure, I wear my Arg soccer or basketball jersey when I go see Manu, because it's a magnet. He always comes over when he sees one of those.

This is my country now. I came in legally as an employee with a work visa, and now own a business here, I'm a citizen, and I made my own family here.

Again, I'm not going to hold the whole 'la raza mexican pride' thing against you, because as I said, I don't understand it. Maybe you can shed some light on it.

Latinos in general are proud people. Youll see the same type of behavior from all of them, theres just alot more Mexicans than the rest of them. Go to South Beach and youll hear plenty of Spanish and see plenty of Cuban or Puerto Rican flags, even Brazilians. Argies pop up with flags for Spurs games, central Americans for soccer games, etc.

Dude, dont be gay. I dont get why you try so hard to fit in. I wasnt even saying you hate the USA or anything like that, all I was saying is that you still have love for Argentina (and Italy too I guess). Otherwise why dont you root for the USA in soccer instead? Theres nothing wrong with that though, Im not hating...I was just using you as an example that its possible to have love for two countries.
