Another thing. Jodie Meeks was the bomb. Worthy of comparisons to Allen iverson tbh.
I agree. great performance but It was more Lebron vs. Celts (with much less at stake) than Jordanesque. But great point this team especially without Pau and Hill is actually pretty ty.
When you think about it, that's not that different from the spurs fool's gold regular season records and consequent playoff exits in dramatic fashion (sweep, 8, backdoor sweep) while having HCA.
Kobe with 42 points 12 assists 7 rebounds...16th NBA Season...
It took a 15-23 shooting night and a dominant 4th to beat... Portland
It took a perfect 4th quarter from Kobe to beat... Dallas
It took a monster 4th quarter to win by 1 at home against... Atlanta
It took 42 points and a ridiculously hot 4th quarter by Kobe and Meeks () to squeak out a road win against... the tanking Pelicans
playoff mode effort to eek out wins against mediocre/tanking teams
clawing their way just to make the playoffs
thinking about which bracket is easiest for the Lakers
combined 2-13 against top west teams (Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, Nuggets, Grizzlies)
Dwight future of the franchise
thinking Spurs are a good matchup
Pringles against Pop
Lakers

insecure and scared are we?
Good points all TBH with one small niggle. They don't play with (playoff or otherwise) effort or intelligence from the start of games leading to eeking out wins against bad teams and moral victories against good teams. Playoff effort, heart, and smarts doesn't result in giving up 71 and 67 in back to back first halves. They'll fulfill Kobe's playoff guarantee but no more.
Was referring to the Herculean 4th quarters and comeback efforts, but I see your point
Yep, and his team is .500 so what did that get them? MVP my ass, great numbers but team is average and numbers alone won't get MVP .
Some idiot put a trophy up too next to his post
Kobe fans are the most annoying idiots on the planet, period. They don't even care about the TEAM and how they are doing, just Kobes stats.
which is crazy when you know that lakes are a .350 team when kobe has more than 20 FGAs.
how kobe could be a mvp with this kind of stat ?
kobe used to be good but his efficiency has dropped alot over recent years, and now he's hurting his team more than he helps his team imho.
I believe Kobe is statistically having his most efficient year ever.
please... Kobe is shooting 48% this season and averaging 33 points on 54% shooting since the all star break.
I know ST is eager to see old Bean retire but his numbers are amazing for both a 34 year old vet with 17 seasons under his belt or a star ballin' in his prime.

Not sure if serious ...
u better than that latarian
Black Jesus performing miracles, per par.
I'd take that---and that alone right now.
I just wonder how long Kobe can go on putting up 40+ mins a night without tiring out. Not sure how fresh he will be for the playoffs, assuming the Lakers make it.
