Yeah. Every Lakers win irritates the outta me. I'm chomping at the bit to bury these s next to the good doctor. They just won't die, though.

In a way, what they're doing is kind of sadistic to Lakers fans. Only thing these kind of ty wins accomplish is giving the more re ed Laker fans (whitemamba, Bynumite, Jeffs from LG, etc) false hope. It's much like a doctor telling you your dying mother has just miraculously recovered from an inoperable brain tumor but then retracts his diagnosis a week later. Lakers are some cold mother ers. Building up hope only to epically crush it later on.

Kobe's a beast. Nobody can argue that. But some of the knee-jerk reactions on here are stunning.. the Lakers are barely beating the worst teams in the league, and suddenly Kobe's a God.. I mean Jesus look at the Lakers roster.. The fact that they're 31-31 with that roster defies physics. And I give Kobe as much dap as any Spurs fan cause I'm not a hater, but some of you Laker fans saying that he's better than MJ cause of these performance are kidding yourselves. You can be a homer, but keep it somewhat realistic please.

I agree. great performance but It was more Lebron vs. Celts (with much less at stake) than Jordanesque. But great point this team especially without Pau and Hill is actually pretty ty.

When you think about it, that's not that different from the spurs fool's gold regular season records and consequent playoff exits in dramatic fashion (sweep, 8, backdoor sweep) while having HCA.

They don't play with (playoff or otherwise) effort or intelligence from the start of games leading to eeking out wins against bad teams and moral victories against good teams. Playoff effort, heart, and smarts doesn't result in giving up 71 and 67 in back to back first halves. They'll fulfill Kobe's playoff guarantee but no more.
