You like the taste of veal too much to give it up?
That, sure. And also I understand that in order for veal to be veal it has to be baby cows and there isn't any way that makes the slaughter of baby cows a happy or uplifting event. With chickens and adult cows and all the rest, I just don't see there being any benefit to making live a much longer life under such horrible conditions.
Also, while it can be hard to find, there is tether-free veal available.
i guess it depends on what ur feeding them....
Actually I don't.
However I can make faux veal with my redneck sous vide setup.
Before my animal protein is slaughtered for consumption, I make sure it frolicked, sang kumbaya, and watched Oprah reruns. I'm complex like that.

Do you frolick the animal in the butt? Or is is genital frolicking?
if i were not a celibate i'd prefer to hunt chicks who have s and butts, rather than waste my $ and time hunting animals for food tbh
I will see you guys at Whole Foods tommorow after I get off work... but I first got to get a cup of organic coffee at the Farmers Market.

I'm curious what this thread is about. Do you really have a curiosity about this topic? Are you considering raising chickens and/or eggs for profit? If so, those of us who will pay extra are limited, but I'll bet it's a profitable venture if the market isn't already balanced on the supply and demand. I pay extra for what I believe to be quality food.
Naaa...I was just trolling to see who liked killing happy chickens. True free range chickens wouldn't last a week at my place with the coyotes and bobcats and hawks.
This thread is like Deju Vu all over again....
Bobcats are cool cats. Aren't they!
There is a female on my place that raises two kittens a year and a big old male that wanders through occasionally.
I like domesticated cats to begin with, those animals are majestic. Aren't they.
I had a really cool black tomcat that lived there and she ate him.
No better food around?
Wow.
My biggest concern living in a forested city area in the raccoon I see at times. They get vicious too. Already killed a cat and mauled two others that I know of. I keep telling others not to leave cat food out at night. It keeps them around.
Cats are apparently pretty tasty. Coyotes and Bobcats love em.
LOL...
So does Alf.
Raccoons, deer and skunks are a nuisance here in San Antonio in plenty of areas of town.
Vittles!
