98, saw Jordan's last game as a Bull in SA in the Alamodome. Went to the 99 parade and then Manu made me a diehard fan when I saw him nearly take the Lakers out without Timmy and Tony. Got a few and1s on Shaq... I'll never forget that game.

'67 Chaparrals, '73 Spurs.
Early 80s with ice, mike Mitc , gene banks, Johnny Moore and artis. Was a huge Celtic fan before then.
The Portland series in 1990.
Damn good series. Game 5 double or triple ot game was insanely good
Pretty much since I could remember, but when Five O got there I started going to more games.
I have a second cousin who was a roomate of Kurt Rambus at Santa Clara. At times, Rambus would send tickets down to the will call booth when the Lakers were in town...sat right behind the Laker bench, but cheered for the Spurs
I remember the obstructed view seats in the old Hemisfair Arena...if memory serves me right, I was at a double overtime game when the Spurs played the Jazz in '91. I think that was the same night that they put Bush Sr. on the jumbotron when Operation Desert Storm began...the Spurs lost that game
I was at game one of the '99 finals against the Knicks. One of my favorite games was the first round of the playoffs in '99 when the Spurs played the Lakers and Kersey hit the end of the first half half-court shot.
Ouch...I was at the game the night D'Rob got the MVP award and the Spurs lost to the Rockets.
I was there for the somewhat famous Spurs/Suns game where a little know Steve Nash fouled AJ hard and Avery made his famous "I will not be mishandled" comment.
After dealing with the pain of Run TMC and losing to the Blazers and then the Rockets, that first le was special.
I don't get to see many games in person much at all anymore.
Pretty much this for me too, just subs ute France for Europe.
40 years old and from san antonio. when i was little everyone wanted to wear number 44 in CYO. it was constant heartache to be a spurs fan till Timmy got here. Timmy is the alpha and omega of spurs basketball. Savor every minute of it.
1999. Im a Duncan fan, and a Spurs fan because of him. I have followed the Spurs every year since then.
$9.95? Damn, I thought I remembered First Choice being $29.95 for good regular season games in the 90s. Thank god for the 99 lockout that wiped out the PPV games league-wide.
I'm still pissed about dropping $49.95 for PPV to watch Rodman jack up threes in a must-win game 2 of the 95 WCF. Maybe it wasn't $49.95, but it was almost double the price of any other First Choice game I had ever seen advertised since the Spurs looked like they were winning the le that year.

2008-2009.
Actually it was 1996-97 season with Dominique Wilkins coming to San Antonio as he was my favorite player. Then I just stayed there with another #21 becoming my favorite player ever!
When I was 15, playoffs 2003, and every season since then. Here in barcelona there wasn't much coverage before that.
Should have been in 1993 or 1994...german tv channels telecasted a lot of Spurs game because of Rodman and my first game was a Spurs-Knicks battle. I never liked Rodman, but loved seeing David and Sean...even Del Negro seemed to be fun to watch. i guess that makes it two out of tree![]()
I've been following the Spurs since the late '70's (born in 1970). We lived in Texas, but not San Antonio, so I had a choice between the Iceman and the Spurs and Malone and the Rockets. I picked Gervin. Robinson cemented the connection when he came along, and it's grown from there. (I was in college when David joined the Spurs.)
Not being local, though, there was limited actual watching, until the last few years. I'm loving LP BB. The only Spurs games I can't get without going out are the ones on TNT (and I'm not getting cable back just for those).
John
1976, when I returned to SA after graduating from college.
Me too! Use to sneek into hemisphere arena with friends.
Haha ! We share the same experience about NBA Live 95
2005 Game 3 vs the Nuggets, it was the first NBA game I ever saw. The epicity of Manu's game was simply ridiculous. Been a fan of his(and spurs) ever since.
Got cable the first time around 2003, it was WCF not sure what game it was but spurs were leading. Eventually spurs lost the game but I sticked to the spurs, can't imagine that there was 50% chance that I would have been a mavs fan.
