After Kareem and Magic were gone, Worthy disappeared from the NBA quicker than cocaine from Whitney Houston's coffee table
retiring at age 33
wanting nothing to do with playing once he had to step up as a main option
Worthy was a role player, he wasn't going to create his own shot in the half court when the game came down to grind it out in the fourth quarter. that was magic's and kareem's job. you can't compare apples and oranges, one is a legit #1 go to option and one isn't. Doesn't mean he wasn't a great player, he was great at his role which was different than Pierce's. If you take Worthy over Pierce you don't really know much about basketball and would make a GM.

We'll agree to disagree. I know if Worthy was #1 option his whole career he'd put up much better #s. I won't knock PP because he's a baller. I just can't put him over Worthy, a 3-time world champ.
Like Kobe limping off and he is back a few games later with a so called severe ankle sprain........ Someone beat me to that though already I see.
Nah, I ain't buying it. He lost a quite a bit of his athleticism after he It was time for him to go. His game relied upon athleticism and he couldn't adjust his game to compensate for the lack of it. Same thing will happen to LBJ if he doesn't stop relying solely on his athleticism. Mother Nature is undefeated.
Kobe 1
Mother Nature 0
