I do believe they did get Bush. I didn't even take him into account when I said they don't need WR. Even though he isn't a WR, he's one of those backs that can catch too so he has that added element. You always hear about free agents saying like "Oh I just want to win the Super Bowl" but it's all bull . They just want money. Colts don't really have much cap room left to use in free agency but I don't think they want to work in a rookie WR.

Why go from Raiders to Lions tho DHB? Didn't you know?

If the Ravens have a good draft, they should be better than they were last season. They have 12 picks, but only about six or seven open spots. I could see them trading up and getting some impact players to go along with a solid free-agency run. It's not very often a team improves their run defense and pass-rushing by spending only $5 Million.
Drafting a wr wouldn't hurt either.

As for the Giants, I see Reese going BPA. Marvin Austin needs to finally show his worth this season. He is out of excuses.

I agree. If a player falls to the Ravens who they think can be a solid number-one guy, they should pick him. They don't need to just draft one for the heck of it, though. They have drafted four receivers in the last three drafts and picked up two more as UDFAs. I'm interested in seeing what those players can do.

Now the Giants are a team I really do think will be just fine. Reese drafts well. What does that team need right now? I guess a some secondary players, but I imagine Amukamara a chance to live up to his draft status.

Amukamara/Hosley are going to be the main guys. I have given up on Thomas and Webster is a concern. I am glad Aaron Ross is back, though, but another young corner would not hurt. I hated losing Phillips, but Stevie Brown looks promising. Will Hill also has me excited. JPP better be in shape this year. He got fat and lazy after winning a ring, and his 6.5 sack season proved it. This could be Tuck's final season as a Giant, and I am excited to see who emerges as Osi's replacement. If Austin can stay healthy and focused, it would be a new look for this pass rush. A penetrating DT would do wonders for Tuck and JPP along with Joseph.

    The Ravens sign Michael Huff.

EDIT: It looks like it's a $6M/3 deal. That's even more great value.

The Cowboys have signed Justin Durant, and have a deal in place with Will Allen as soon as they restructure another contract. A Romo extension is probably near. They also restructured Orton's deal to sign Durant.

I've learned to trust the Giants' ability to develop a good d-line.

Speaking of which, what do you think of Canty? I know he was hurt last year, but what about the years before that? Ravens fans are really excited about him, but players tend not to do very well after leaving the Giants.

All the same, I saw a tweet from Elias saying that no team that's ever won a super bowl has had as much personnel turnover as the Ravens have

He was rated 3rd out of 25 FBs taking >25% of snaps. He's more like our replacement for Vonta Leach, actual our equal.

That seems untrue. The Ravens lost four starters from 2011-2012, went the first half of the season without another, and kept another on the bench for the whole regular season. They also dealt with another missing most of the season and they lost the another player who was an opening-day starter. That's seriously nine players, not counting three key subs. I imagine the Ravens have the most turnover out of any team in the league. Really, this off-season's been pretty typical.

Probably. Reed couldn't really tackle to save his life, and until the playoff, he was having a hard time sticking to his assignment. Good teams find a way to put players in a position to succeed. Apparently, the Ravens have been targeting Huff for years. I imagine they have a good idea about what they want to do with him.

New #Texans fullback Greg Jones turns 32 in May, but he was top-3 lead blocker in the NFL each of the past 3 seasons, according to @PFF.

Probably better that way too as the Texans never really used Casey effectively anyway.

Yup. Now if we can bring back Winston I'd consider this a successful start to the offseason.

John McClain ‏@McClain_on_NFL 2m Texans will sign more veteran FAs who they can get with affordable deals. I expect an OT, ILB, WR and perhaps a NT.

John McClain ‏@McClain_on_NFL 2m Texans have 9 draft choices, including four of the top 95. I still think they'll draft a WR in first round.

ESPN 980 (d.c) says that Winfield just arrived and will have dinner with the skins tonight. We need him here. He was ranked as the number 1 corner last year according to profootballfocus for what it's worth. If anything he is a cheap reliable stopgap at nickel and we look to the draft

No team has repeated since the Patriots cheated to do it so it's not like you can do it by playing fair anyway. Highly unlikely Ravens repeat even with the exact same team.

Tbh, if Canty can stay healthy, he will help the Ravens. The Giants cut him loose mainly due to his salary. He was not healthy last year, so it was unfair to call him a scrub. It was a solid low risk move by Ozzie. Canty's impact on the D-Line is underestimated when the Giants won the SB. He and Joseph got that push to make life easier for Osi/Tuck/JPP.
