Shaq's number being retired tonight with Kobe forced to watch. No doubt he goes full chuck mode.

I'm not feeling confident about this one. The Lakers will be honoring Shaq and it is a universal fact that the Mavs have sucked major ass against the Lakers in Los Angeles. Those are two strikes against the Mavs. The Jazz are also playing decent basketball too. That is a 3rd strike. The ghost of Joseph Smith is going to lead the Jazz into 8th seed and ahead of the Mavs and Lakers at the end of the season. That's the likely outcome. Anything can happen but I'm just not that confident.
Excellent take. I didn't even think to take in account how the Utah Jazz are playing when evaluating our chances against the Lakers.

& Kobe was correct to refuse to be Daddy's "short stack." Shaq though took exception and Media was mad as well. They wanted that "Martin & Lewis" story line. I'm sure Kobe's old man made damn sure Kobe nipped it in the bud. A wise move indeed. There was no upside for Kobe. Just Daddy.

Lol... look at Kobe's 2004-05 game log (http://www.basketball-reference.com/.../gamelog/2005/) Scroll down towards the end of the win/loss column...quite a stretch run he led his team on

This will be a tough loss for Dale to stomach, unfortunately I will have to be the martyr so that nobody else faces Dale's fury. Sometimes I question whether or not wallowing me with a rebar is truly a sign of love. Is my marriage a sham and I am with crazy old man several times my age?

May the lord have mercy on me for doubting glorious husband

Boy the Kobe hunters are out in force today ...
Should be interesting will Kobe rise to teh occasion as both facilitator and scorer? We shall see if Marion is healthy he usually does as good a job as anyone defending Bryant.

LOL at the rings are a team accomplishment but playoff failure is singularly on Kobe ... but tonight is about celebrating the Daddy. No more Kobe talk right now he is not even in the playoffs ...waste of time tbh.

WOrk will be (I workin Irving) if we lose to dem Mavs ...
    Plus EL, would be right.

HAVE to win this one ....and quiet the roaches around here ...

    Lakers win easy.

Stern and the refs won't allow the Mavs to win. You really think they want to chance the Lakers missing the playoffs?

To win rings you need chemistry. And Kobe's best at destroying that. Btw, Kobe clearly stated this was his team even after Howard got there, and there is no reason on earth that team with their talent should be only .500. Kobe deserves every bit of the blame.

Mavs lose and they are probably done, unfortunately..

Dirk will show up, but they need Carter to get hot, and Mayo not to the bed, tbh..

Can't see the refs allowing Dallas to win though, as my stretch said..
