This is temporary. LA has deep pockets and is a prime destination for FAs. Jim is a moron, but the Laker brand is bigger than his dumbass.

The team they put on the floor should have been better than it is right now, but for various reasons, it is not. No need to bank on the fact that the good Dr. is gone and expect the Lakers to not rebound at some point in the near future. I'm sure you were one that thought when Showtime was over, so was the chance of the Lakers getting back on top. Before you know it, Shaq/Kobe came along. Then Kobe/Pau. Then Kobe/Pau/D12. Then D12/???

Bottom line: the Lakers will always be a place where stars will flock to. It's just a matter of timing. Who knows, maybe the Kang is next. He can opt out in 2014 and we just so happened to have a ton of cap space that year. We'll see what happens tbh.

And at monostat thinking I give two s about what happened 2 years ago. She's holding on to det series win like there's no tomorrow.
LOL holding onto LA's series wins over Dallas in the mid 80s instead, since that's the only success they had against them in the playoffs.

No. I'm stating a fact that we have owned Dallas for YEARS. The fact that we are 3-1** against them in the playoffs is further proof. That's a playoff winning percentage of 75% if I did my math correctly.

LOL if Dolan can wreck New York, Jimmy can do the same in LA.
Has Dolan been in charge since '73? You know, the last time they won anything? In other words, how can Dolan wreck something that hasn't done for over 40 years? And how many rangs has the Lakers won since then? Jim wrecking LA is wishful thinking on your part tbh.

    **Denotes one and done frever

No no no, LA owned Dallas years ago. LOL 1982 playoffs es. LOL owning a team you haven't beaten in the playoffs since the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar era.

Yeah, I just made up the part about them hiring D'Antoni and paying $100 million to be the 9-seed in a year they don't have their lottery pick.

So in other words, Laker fans are frontrunners by default.

Even if LA were my hometown, I would root for the Clippers. I just can't follow a team that gets special privileges for arbitrary reasons. That's just...offputting.

The most enjoyable Mavs game? You in' serious? Game 6 of the 2011 NBA Finals is the best game in the history of the Mavs. The Mavs were finally winners after game 6 and no one could say about it. It was awesome.

How am I creepy? Your team winning the championship should be the best game of your team's history or at least top 5. Yes, sweeping the Lakers in the 2nd round in 2011 was awesome and a great accomplishment but it wasn't the championship. It's probably the only time where the Mavs truely owned the Lakers' ass in the NBA.

my jacob has inherited ghazi's role on the mavs krew imho. dude has total faith in his team and i can't find any reason to not respect such fans like him, regardless of whether his team wins or sucks. jacob is the new ghazi and his faith will finally pay off too, like 2011.
