    There is no such thing.

    Hey look I'm cool award

    Me - 1

    You - 0

    ....

Smart one, he was quoting finals MVPs. But he's wrong, Duncan should only have 2.5 according to Bill Simmons and all the REAL NBA FANS because we all know nobody was in shape for the 50 game 1999 season and Ewing was hurt.

Don't forget Kirby will finish his career with no more league MVPs than AI and Derrick Rose and less than the other guy who hobbles around his backcourt.

Oh yeah I forgot that argument by Spurfan. "He made his teammates better".
ignoring leadership and the ability to make your teammates better when making player comparisons
    "advanced stats are stupid"
"just pts/rbs/ast man. Those are REAL stats"

Your constant oversimplification of what it means to be impactful in basketball is astounding.

I actually read this, hoping that it wasn't a troll attempt/reaching response to the Kobe thread, but alas...

One thing you don't understand is that defenses were so keyed in on Duncan that Manu and Tony were allowed to go buck wild in the paint/get open shots. If you look at how Manu scored in the 4th quarter of game 7, you'll note that he clearly benefited from Timmy's presence (something that simple stats won't show).

Also, in 2005 Duncan was playing on two bad ankles during the WCF/Finals and one bad ankle in the first two rounds. In the WCF it didn't matter since Phx played absolutely no defense, but in the Finals Timmy faced arguably two of the best defensive bigs of their generation in the two Wallaces, and he held his own.

In 2007 Duncan had an off shooting game in game 4 against the Cavs, but he did everything else for the Spurs (a basketball game is positively affected by more than just scoring, something Kobe fans don't understand). In every other closeout game he was great. Not sure what you're getting at in this year.

Also funny how you leave out his 2003 and 1999 closeout performances.
He will mention a few things that benefit his punk ass! But leave out other things! Selective I call that. I can bring up Kobe 6-24 in a huge game 7 and his Game 7 against the Suns where he did not show up at all, but thats another day. Most said what I would have said in here.

Kobe, even with the best frontcourt and largest salary, still can't surpass Jordan.
Unable to get past the first round without an all-star big.

I don't often post but when I do it's usually because I have something important to say. Now I don't want you to take this personal but your threads are terrible. Again I don't know who you are, what you do, etc but I certainly hope that your contribution to this website is not the culmination of your life.

Jordan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 6 YOUR GOD STUCK ON 5, a shame he got lead to les by Shaq three times though as Jordan was the leader of his team and well Tim was too! Kobe could not win his last two without a big trade, Tim never had a big trade to make him relevant again after his team sucked for years, never missed the playoffs! Tobe needed big men and needed a trade to get him relevant again!

He did show up vs Suns. 21 points at halftime on 8-13 shooting. He gave up but his team didnt show up and the game was over in the 3rd quarter. I remember the 15 rebounds vs Boston too.

Nash deserved his 2 MVPs more than Kobe deserved his 1. Kobe basically earned the Lifetime Achievement Award in Advertising. He helped recoup his costs to the marketers after raping a , so he was rewarded.

Besides, Nash was able to get to the WCF without an All Star Big. Kobe couldn't even get past the first before the league had to fix that quick.
