In 9 seasons worth of elimination games, Kobe managed to grab 15 rebounds in one of those games
Which is still less than MVPau's 18 for the game.

I agree with you, and I felt this is a horrible metric to gauge a leader. In fact, we all know Derek Fisher has been the Lakers leader for the longest time. But then Laker fans have long insisted that Kobe is the leader because he led the team in scoring, which, to me, is re ed. However, I took that re ed criteria, and applied it to see how Kobe led, using Laker fan's own criteria, during the toughest of the moments, and the results were that he sucked. He was horrible most of the time, and there really wasn't any two ways about it.

In fact, the more he sucked, the more the Lakers won in those situations, because he wasn't taking shots away from MVPau and Odom.

During the NBA playoffs when Kobe is ass back on a hospital bed trying to poke some white trash teenage candystriper, this thread is about as relevant as Russell Westbrook's fashion sense or Derrick Rose's academic resume. Kobe has sucked in big games. He's a selfish chucker with a horrible shooting percentage in those games. I think Kobe's own kids know that. So what's the point right now? He's not playing. He's not newsworthy. Kobe should be ignored like a Kool offer to wager a bet. But for some reason, he's still on people's minds, Kobe fanbois and Kobe haters alike.

It pains me, you see, to have to bring down a fantastic basketball player like Kobe to let everybody understand the context. I am in no way saying Kobe is a horrible player, in fact, I think he's a fantastic player, and I would like to create discussions as to how people can explain all these consistently pitiful performances. But instead of getting well thought-out responses, I am getting all these accusations and slander. It really breaks my heart to see that bullying and intimidation is the only tactic of the ignorant.
