Not a dirty play at all. You see that exact play even in the regular season where a guy knows his man will call a TO and go for the steal. He was clearly going for the ball and almost got it too.

this isn't necessarily true - depends on a lot of factors i.e. type of meniscus tear, age of patient, etc. - many meniscus tears heal pretty well with repair, especially in younger patients without pre-existing knee degeneration. treatment for meniscus tears has actually come a long way in the last 10-15 years - they used to just take the entire torn portion out, which leads to a lot worse results.
I thought surgery was just smoothing the tear out so it doesn't get worse.

Thanks djohn2oo8. The play didn't look that bad. Wow.

I'm wondering who comes back more explosive from his injury between him and Rose. Both relied heavily on speed and freakish athleticism.

Sucks, I have Clippers going to the finals now. San Antonio can pull it off, but I can see them running out of gas soon as well.

that's part of it, especially if the tear causes a flap of meniscus tissue to fold over itself and causes a lot of pain. but the main aspect of treatment is what you're going to do with the tear, and the decision is usually to either take out the entire torn tissue or to s ch it back together. it's really weird because even though the meniscus doesn't have great blood supply, it still heals about half the time when you repair it.

A serious meniscus tear is way way worse than an ACL tear in the modern age. Of course we have no idea how serious Westbrook's tear is.

Wow, never heard of meniscus being s ched back together. Hopefully Westbrook's injury isn't of that first type you mentioned.

Imagine if the Lakers were healthy all season. They'd have no OKC in their way to the Finals.

I don't know about that, tbh.... their entire offense pretty much is Durant and Westbrick, and now half of it is gone for the forseeable future....

    Agreed.

Too bad they traded Manor. If they start Fisher - or play him major minutes - watch we see the playoff version of Linsanity.

Didn't Metta get fluid drained from his knee recently?
Yeah, but he's available for game 3 from my understanding.

As much as I dislike Westbrick, this sucks. I'd rather the Spurs compete against the best.

Did I use the word "INTENTIONAL" anywhere in my ing post? No, I never said it was ing intentional, NBA athletes have enough respect for each other to not try and purposefully injure their peers; unless they're a ing nutjob like Artest.

What I said was it was a " ING STUPID DIRTY PLAY" and is the exact reason why you don't barrel through someone trying to steal the ball when you know they're about to call a timeout; I can understand it was an honest hustle play in the playoffs trying to make a difference, but you just don't ing do it. You're not going to steal the ball before the ref awards a timeout, and the player is defenseless against contact; plus it negates any foul that may happen. It's the same ing thing of hitting a player in the air from behind or under them; you just don't ing do it. Of course a ing no name punk ass rookie like Beverley wouldn't know any better; nor any of these lame ass es on here who haven't stepped on a hardwood court in their life.

At least they have Harden to handle the ball and provide scoring........oh wait. Nevermind. Could have used Eric Maynor as well.
