How awesome would it be if Collins was really a straight dude but he blew all his money on coke and strippers, and so he came up with this as a way to get a job. Be like the plot of a Wayans brothers movie

The media's double standard and bigotry are pretty disgusting. Collins tells the World that he likes s and balls in his mouth and ass, and he gets praised like a ing got hero. Tebow goes around telling people that he's a Christian and they try to make him sound like he's out there bombing Americans like some muslim.

The people I really feel sorry for are the people that can't even come up with their own opinions and just follow whatever narrative the media tells them to follow.

Kind of reminds me of the difference between Lakers media coverage and Spurs media coverage. The Spurs beat the living out of the Lakers, embarrass them, and all I've heard the media talk about is about how the Lakers failed to live up to their potential this season. Almost nothing at all about how the Spurs just completely dominated them. But, that's the narrative. When the Spurs beat a large market teams, it's always about how the large market team failed and barely ever about how the Spurs were just better. That works on stupid people and basically convinces them that anytime the Spurs win, it's basically because we got lucky or some bull . lol It's pretty damn lame.

The actual logical conclusion to that would be "we don't know who created what, more scientific research on this area is needed". Filling up the gaps with fairy tales about a giant ark, a sea separated by an old man with a staff, some mind-controlled bears killing children, etc is not serious, tbh...
Theism and religion aren't the same thing. Theism hinges on a premise; it doesn't propose any different explanation beyond that premise.

The quiet ones who just sit at home and read their bible still get some blame for giving money to organizations like 'focus on the family' and voting for for politicians trying to eliminate the separation of church and state.
The people who do the former are still pretty rare, but they and the people who do the later are still following their rights without violating anyone else's. The have the freedom of assembly as much as we do.

On todays Inside the NBA, there was an eerie awkwardness that came with the showing of Shaq backing down the big 7 foot fruit in his Lakers/Heat yesterdays. The guys were like, "(chuckle, chuckle) that was an offensive foul shaq", to which Shaq replied, "those were strong moves".

you jus kant say whteber tings u want anymo in dese sitches tbh

    Don't think I could've said it better.

This is just infuriating. When I read this, Tim Tebow is exactly where my mind went. I'm not really a Tebow fan on the field, but I have tremendous respect for him being so open and vocal about his faith. Unfortunately he's the subject of more jokes than I can count, meanwhile Jason Collins will probably be praised for his "courage", or something along those lines.

A few years ago, talk began of putting foot-washing basins in airports for Muslims, and the Christians who spoke up where called bigots.

They began showing videos about same-sex couples to 2nd and 3rd graders, and the Christian parents who didn't want their children seeing that were dragged through the mud by the media.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell - an abortion doctor - is on trial for murder, yet I've heard next to nothing about it outside of the Bott Radio Network (a Christian network for those of you not familiar with it). And President Obama spoke at Planned Parenthood's national conference. He said it's "not going anywhere" instead of condemning Dr. Gosnell - who has prior connections with the organization!

My local newspaper printed a slander-oozing article about the Sheriff, claiming he displays the 10 Commandments along with other historical do ents - which is perfectly legal - but accuse him of doing so for religious reasons...as if he is a horrible human being for displaying the Word of God in that building! The article was led Our View: Sheriff wraps himself in biblical flag.

WHY IS THIS COUNTRY TOLERANT OF EVERYONE EXCEPT CHRISTIANS???!!!

Still, we reap what we sow, and those who sow tainted seeds, will reap rotten fruit. All we can do is to do our best to live as examples to the world.

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." - Matthew 5:14-16

I have religious beliefs but I definitely support gay marriage and people being open about it. I don't agree with it, but I don't hold it against anyone. Much like I have great friends with different religious beliefs, political views and other major differences.
I hope you aren't a Christian, then, because God definitely doesn't support gay marriage.

And Bible thumpers are the modern day Bible thumpers.

Funny how the overwhelming majority in this country are Christians & they're trying to play the victim card, when they have never been through the discrimination of minorities like Blacks, Hispanics, Muslims & gays have.

    Such selfish/hateful idiots you are.

BTW the hate for Tebow is not he is a Christian, it's how flamboyant he is in showing it. Get your head out your asses!

I do think Collins is cheapening everything the gay-rights movement is trying to accomplish by pretending to be a social activist now.

What I'd like to see instead of SI articles is just a guy hanging out with his boyfriend, and the media catches him and asks if he's gay, and he says, "Oh, yeah." And then for the media to say, "Do your teammates know?" And him say, "A couple, yeah. It really just doesn't comes up. It's no big deal." I'd have mad respect for that guy for being straight-up (don't mind the pun) instead of cowering for years and then pretending like he's ready to lead.

Jason did the right thing by not coming out. It would have been selfish of him to come out and disrupt his teammates...they would have never been able to focus because of his Booty Ballin ass. He would have been a distraction...I hope the Lakers pick him up as Dwights back-up...Once again all eyes will be on LA...it would be hilarious...

Touche. But as far as you're concerned aren't Christians inherently illogical and extremist? What's your excuse?

Christianity does our society no good. It's extremely easy to make arguments that it brings us all down.

The only thing I truly hate more than Christianity is home owners associations.

If christianity is illogical and extreme, then it needs to be snuffed.

Though articulate Collins has never lead even going back to HS ...(he went to a rival school in the SF valley). Not saying his motives are selfish or if he is an attention ... but my guess he would not be their communities first choice . Funny thing is my cousin just remembered his prom date went to HS with Collins and dated one of them ...he is not sure of which one though ...
Let me come at this from another perspective not mentioned... (i dont think)
You want to live an alternate lifestyle? cool. Do you, be happy. Bible sin or not. Because heteros sin all the time.
But what I don't like is when a romp ranger hides his true self, sleeps with women to fit in ...but on the "down low" are smoking sausages and taking the Hershey highway ...

That is the part that is scary to me, not some dude, hittin' on me tbh ... but a chick thinking a dude is straight, messes with him and then passes on his cooties to some straight dude. Dat aint right.
