Looking past Memphis probably cost Pop the series, tbh.
Huh? 2011 or this year? I'm sure Pop took his lessons with him from 2011 (hopefully ). The past is the past.

Kevin Durant has the worst body language of any superstar in the league, especially without Westbrook out there. He is a piss-poor leader on the court, and if we get them in the second round, they will get annihilated by the Spurs because Pop's entire strategy will be to double team Durant and shade another guy on him all game, and when Durant's ty teammates (missing Jeff Green/Harden/Westbrook) inevitably choke (Reggie Jackson and Kevin Martin 2nd and third option, lol?) he'll go on a massive temper-tantrum and take himself outta the game.

Didn't they lose last season with Gay on the squad against the team they just beat in the first round?

meh, i don't think they would win this year even with gay, but it's pretty obvious that choke job is due to that trade. Also the counterpart of the trade is pretty bad, they are still a good team but Prince is not going to last, and then what?

I had a dream that ST stopped freakin' pondering over which opponent we think will be the easiest to beat in the WCF (if we even get there), and actually focused on our CURRENT match up, The GS Warriors. Do not sleep on GS... and NEVER celebrate anything too early. EVER. That is all.
Why do we have to focus on the now instead of speculating on potential future matchups? We're fans, not coaches or players. If we get ahead of ourselves, or distracted, how does that affect what happens on the basketball court at all?
I agree with you both. While it's perfectly fine to think about possible future oppenents, I feel Legacy was expressing ill feelings for threads like these -- http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213422 (BTW Post #4 is Spurs and Mavs fan with a realistic prediction)

Thinking and discussing about the task at hand is what we would all prefer, but we must realize that there are GNSFs residing in this forum lol

I definitely don't see OKC getting swept. Stern won't allow it. They will at least win one game since a sweep will harm their marketability too much for next year. The Westbrook excuse doesn't excuse a sweep.

    Grizzlies in 5 or 6.

Memphis is definitely the more difficult matchup, any other team is easier.
No one can guard the combination of zbo and gasol without collateral damage: lost rebounds, and-ones which result in free throws for them, and foul trouble.

20 pts for zbo is much more dnagerous than say 20 pts for durant, who achieves a lot of it from shooting rather than banging down low.
You can bet zbo's 20 comes with a lot of put backs, winning rebounds, and-ones and of course 4-8 fouls on our bigs.
    I'll take okc.

Yeah... I think it's best that we not sleep on those GS Warriors. They pretty good, IMHO!

I'm hoping for OKC, but it would be great if they go 7 games. That way we should be able to get 5-6 days off before playing them.
