How the is it foolish? Who else has performed well consistently in the playoffs? Certainly not Parker or Manu. And this has been Timmys team in the playoffs, he has been the best player and led us this far in the playoffs. For the RS you can say it was Parker.
Im aware its a RS award that wasnt the point. The point is when was the last time a top MVP candidate proved his haters wrong by performing well only 50% in the playoffs? Can you imagine if Paul, Rose, or some other PG did that...his RS MVP candidacy would be considered a farce.
If you take a starter out of the equation you increase the chances of defeating a team? Groundbreaking analysis there, Brazil. Of course Id rather have Parker over Joseph or Neal at PG...but that doesnt mean hes been the best player on the team in the playoffs. Or that hes the leader. Timmy is still the one turning in solid performances on a consistent basis.
You expected him to play well in the playoffs about 50% of the time and play some of the worst defense of his career? Im a 'Parker hater' and even I expected more out of him tbh. I expected him to crumble up eventually against physical compe ion but not against the ing Warriors tbh.
So he is not a franchise type player capable of bringing his team to a ring but when he gets a bunch of MVP love and attention you have no problem praising him? So in other words when hes playing well you suck him off and when he falls flat on his face you just give him a pass because its not his fault hes not good enough.
