d green was 1-5 from three point range in game 3

not the best time to have a slump heading to the finals (god forbid spurs blow a 3-0 lead), most of those looks were wideeeeee open

here's hoping he doesnt hit another shooting slump at the wrong time
Check his 3 pnt % numbers:

    First Round 0.333
    Conf. Semifinals 0.444
    Conf. Finals 0.467

    Also his overall fg%:

    First Round 0.414
    Conf. Semifinals 0.456
    Conf. Finals 0.500

His numbers seem to be going in the right direction to me.

Couple that in with the fact that this year unlike last year, in the games where he's not hitting his shot he's still able to find ways to contribute, like in game three that great pass to Kawhi for the open layup, and in general really tough defense, and you gotta acknowledge that he's definitely starting to come into his own.

He really has stepped up since the no-show in last year's WCF. Will need to keep up his play until the very end.

    Green is a keeper.
Like many I had doubts before the POs, but not any more.
    And he would get better.

What was the longest contract we could have given him last summer? He definitely is a keeper right now, I wonder how much would he be worth if he was an UFA this summer.

Green sucks can't hit a stinkin'shot. 1-5? Are you 'effin kidding me? He's a liability out there. Pop should cut him and resign James anderson.. a real stud who would go 5-5 in a pressure situyation like a game 3 of the WCF. Cut him, Pop!!!!! Do it, Pop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!uggggghhhhh... I'm so pizzzzed I'm smearing my poop on the wall!!!!

Dont get me wrong, d green is a very important player for the spurs and he's come a long way from last year. He didnt have as many shooting slump compared to last year, so here's hoping it doesn't happen until the spurs season end.

A lot of people called d green a choker last year when in fact he had two great Playoff series then had a shooting slMp against okc. I didn't, but he's a streaky shooter, I'm just saying for the spurs to win a championship he's gonna have to be on fire or at the very least not hit a shooting slump at the wrong time

3 point shooters go into slumps, sometimes prolonged and at the most inopportune times. Thats what happened to Green in the WCF. People that wanted to crucify him for having choking DNA are re s. Same with Neal this year, except Neal also has the fact that hes a poor defender going against him. Greens been solid but I wouldnt expect him to become a better finisher though...his ceiling for finishing around the basket is probably below average instead of terrible.

He's been fine in that regard recently. He needs to work on his floater, as that will allow him to stay away from people trying to block his shot and knock the ball from his hands. He probably never will be that great, but he can certainly be good enough to score on most of his driving attempts (provided he doesn't start driving misguidedly). That's really all you can ask.

1 for 5 for a guy who shoots primarily 3's does not define a shooting slump. Heck, if even 1 one of those 4 misses doesn't rim out he's at a respectable 40% But that's just luck, mostly. Even the luck of the rims aside, shooters have their ebbs and flows ... nobody consistently shoots their season % in every single game but it sure seems like half this forum expects that. It's quite ridiculous, really. I could understand if the guy has done absolutely nothing so far in the playoffs... then criticism would be warranted. But one game where Green was one miss away from excellence has your panties in a bunch?

Im not criticizing d green , i love his play last year and this year he's even better. He's defending, hustling and rebounding even on the very few games this year that he's not shot the ball particularly well

Im simply saying that the spurs cant afford to have green hit a shooting slump. Im not saying that he is in a shooting slump

true imo he didnt hit many shooting slump this season, i dont remember him having a very 'hot' shooting month either save for a couple games where he made 6+ three pointers, hopefully he really has become a more consistent shooter rather than a streaky one

    he's durable, he's athletic, he's a defense guy, he's big, he is a luxury

I'm sure Pop gets a hardon every time he writes down his name in the starting lineup IMO
Danny is very hit and miss, offensively. Especially in the playoffs. But even when he is having an off night, he always defends well.

in addition to TMac and Baynes getting time next year, I would love to see the Spurs draft Reggie Bullock. He's taller, stronger, faster, better dribbler than Danny.
