I talk about jim but i would never wish or celebrate a player's injury.

Duncan and Kobe are legends, all time greats, they deserve to end their careers on their own terms, not with some bull injury.
Just chalk up it to penis envy. Lakers denied the Spurs a chance at a ring on 4 separate occasions, and it was usually Kobe doing the damage.

And yes, Spur fan can be a petulant, petty bunch. We have that envious Boston Red Sox vis a vis Yankees mentality toward you guys.

So why in the are you calling him Jim if you felt bad for him?

Kobe choked in a game 7, but Artest bailed him out. Tim had no-one at 37 to help him out. He missed an easy one, but he was not the reason for the loss. Tim and Kawhi showed up. Everyone else could have played better.

Tremendous effort from TD. For someone this age to play this well is very tough way to lose. He left it all out there. Spurs could have and should have went to him more. He is one of the greatest players ever.

I'm actually backing off the Kobe hate for tonight because I really, really will miss those two in their prime going against each other. I'd love if it they were both on the same team and won one more ring, especially over the Heat.

For the record, I told people to stop talking about the Kobe injury. I didn't like that, wasn't fair to dump on him.

Edit : Thanks to those of you that went for us to beat the Heat. We had it in game 6 and gave it away. Tough loss, but no way will I let it get me down.
Jim was jost a joke. I am a TD fan and felt his pain. Unlike Ewing at least he has 4 rings as consolation ...

This was an all-time great finals, the 4 blowouts notwithstanding. The only speed bump on the Heats road to a dynasty. I'm proud, es

Will never respect Spurfan or Heatfan. Like Bynumite already mentioned, some of you guys were happy when Kobe tore his achilles. Too bad one of these teams had to win because LeStans were happy with the injury too, but my hating time will come, they aint going to win every year. But I did root for the Spurs because I can't stand the Heat. You Spurfuns will have nightmares of that game 6 though.

Much respect to the spurs. I think you know there will be some laker fans who will kick you while you're down. I won't be one of them. I was really hoping for a good series and I got it. The spurs were seconds from the le and numerous threads of TOSB 5 et al.

Trust me. This is going to sting for a long ass time. Much respect.

cheer up bro, next season is only a few months away, all we have to do is not watch espn until july 1st. but ill be honest, i felt in awful for tim after he missed those 2 shots, if 1 of those ers dropped, its a different ball game, and the spurs would have the momentum. Mad respect to dem spurs for making it that far and giving us a great series. my mid if i knew you id take you out for a brew (no ) that busted my balls i cant imagine what happened to spur fan.

    Thanks. Appreciate the sentiment.

Spurfan is pretty crushed right now. Probably similar to how guys felt after Game 4 in the '08 Finals. I know the Lakers weren't seconds away from a championship, but seeing the hated Celtics charge back from 24 down on your home floor must've been demoralizing. Luckily for your psyches, the Lakers redeemed themselves in '09 and then further redeemed themselves in '10.

Sadly, I see no such redemption for us. But if this is indeed the end of the Duncan era, they went out like the Wild Bunch with a heroic last stand (Game 6 is that little kid shooting William Holden in the back).

2008 makes me cringe, especially the wheel chair incident. the celtics.

Duncans got 1 more good year in him for sure, i dont doubt spurs will be back for another solid season.

Laker fans can't be so greedy tbh. Had the celts failed to win in 08 then KG and Pierce would possibly retire without rings, or they would've gone Payton modes to coattail ride Miami and to make the league even more lopsided.

Spurs and spur fans have every right to be proud of themselves despite the loss

Yeah, this loss was bad. I felt like I was a spur fan. Especially after Khawi and Manu both missed those free throws.....HOW DO YOU MISS A FREE THROW THAT WOULD HAVE MADE YOU THE CHAMPS??? HOW!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?
Those free throws will haunt all Spurs fans for decades, and the Game 6 collapse will be part of NBA-lore forever. Sad to be at the receiving end of such a catastrophic loss, but it is what it is. Real talk: I would've cheered for the Lakers if they faced the Heat in the Finals this year. Heck, I was cheering for Kobe against the Thunder in 2012. Kobe and Duncan are the old guards in the NBA, and as years pass by, our childhood idols are slowly being replaced. This is a very different NBA now.

Don't lump all spurs fans being happy about Kobe's injury! I thought it was too bad it happened to him instead of Lebroom! I hate that arrogant Lebroom! As for Kobe, it was a matter of time that he would have a catastrophic injury as he was playing with barely any rest and that is a recipe for getting a bad injury!

I think it's about time both fanbases of the two elite NBA franchises come together and appreciate their respective contributions to the sport.

Thank you so much to all The Laker fans who supported us through this entire rollercoaster. You know who you are, too. The company and alliance during these trying times was very much appreciated, and it was a lot of fun, too. Good times!!
