Eh, Mo Williams is not really a threat to penetrate so it's not like his committing on the screen was going to really sell anyone. I think his offense opens up more options for the Spurs both starting and then coming off the bench with the 2nd team to start the 2nd. He can pick and pop and he has some post moves.
Don't agree, but even if that would be right, it's more of a case of what we need (IMO anyways) than anything else.
Jeff McDonald @JMcDonald_SAEN 29 Jun The thing about adding, say, an Al Jefferson instead of Tiago Splitter ... have to remake entire offense. Al isn't a pick and roll player.
You don't lose that much by replacing Splitter with a guy like Blatche, but you will pay 1/8th the $$ and can sign a Jarret Jack or someone else that can handle the point and create his own shot. Splitter will get $8m/year from someone, hope it's not SA.

no neal, no blair. i'm on the fence about tmac and bonner.
Uhhh no.. his contract is horrible. He's set to make $15 million in 2014.
Ginobili on the cheap..Pick up Al let Splitter find anoter team..JR Smith possibly..And Mo Williams
its practically the same thing as paying splitter 9-10 mil a year.
perfect offseason imo:
- manu
- ak47 (or t.evans if ak isn't possible)
- splitter or oden or gortat (whoever is cheapest)
I think Signing Manu and Splitter and adding Millsap/Kirilenko is about as well as we can do. Add 1 more wing shooter for depth on the bench, and call it an offseason. Just disappointing that Dunleavy and Korver are gone already, they would've fit that role as competent 2nd unit defenders who can shoot.
We were apparently miles away from an NBA championship...
Manu > Splitter > Kirilenko > Ellis > Pachulia > Oden > John Lucas III
if Suns are trading Gortat to us they might as well include Scola yeah? They won't have much use for him anyway, unless he mentors Len
Way off. Kirilenko > Ellis > Splitter > Manu > Oden > Pachulia > John Lucas IIII. There you go, that's much better. Stop being delusional, Manu is not as good as he was in 2007.
Didn't rank them according to talent, mind you. Just my personal priority. Tony got offended when asked whether they'll keep the core. I assume Manu's returning a Spur.
Also yeah I agree Manu isn't as good. I didn't say he should be signed first because of talent. More of a signing due to sentimental value. Betting he stays anyway, no matter what happens. Splitter, not so much.
Only thing I could think of is that Marcin might not want to stay there after his contract is up now that he has a bit of money (since Phoenix decidedly sucks now), and they may want to lock up a big for a longer contract while they can.
hopefully
I would like to see AK47, I think Marco Belenelli could help us out for a cheap 3 point specialist depending on what happens with Neal, and if we could get Antawn Jamison for the minimum, I would say those are 3 decent pickups.
how much money do we have left with splitter and manu signed up already?
also is there still a chance big al can join the spurs?
