Is he purposesly keeping the money secret to prevent another Manu Should Retire thread?
We can only hope that Manu took a modest contract to give us the highest cap space for the last piece or pieces.
That being said, welcome back Manu!

I wonder if he can self-discipline himself to stop those foolish turnovers. If he can find a way to minimize them, he will still be an effective player.
This pretty much will force the Spurs to sign some scrub that didn't get signed by another team. Great offseason Stay pat is the way to go. J/K.
My guess is 8.5 mil for two years if the Spurs want another shot. Anything over that is just to sell tickets and ride the coattails of past glory days.
Great news
Glad to have Manu back
Team would have been better off throwing 11mil at Tyreke to play backup pg/sg. Then signing a lesser backup sf. We better have money left to add something decent.
old dog needs to learn a new trick.
What abut the 4 in the 4th quarter of Game 7, did you like those?
damn just woke up... let me see what I can find on the local media
Do the Spurs have a chance at winning a championship now?

While it hurts the cap space, it's still a fair contract. Spurs could still use the MLE as well.
How about his 24/10 in Game 5? How'd you feel about that? Obviously Game 6 was an abomination - but don't discount his game 7, because he was the only reason we were even within striking distance in the 4th of game 7.
Just like last year Duncan had to make more than Jackson.
Two years, $3,229,020 each.
rumors circulating around the spurs office that its 2 yrs 20 mil... WOW
Woohoo live by the Manu die by the Manu!
Like I said they went for asking about Ellis and AK to asking about Oden, Billups and Barnes.
Different situation.
Give us your best Manu - Go Spurs Go!
If he can learn to throw the ball off the opponent's leg when he's airborne and close to going out of bounds, instead of throwing back into traffic (as he did several times in the finals), that would cut his turnovers by a significant percentage. Doing this alone would have likely been enough to beat Miami. Of course, if he can just stop going airborne to make passes, that would be better altogether.
