problem with the prosecution is that they could never prove who started the fight. zimmerman said trayvon attacked him and he had to protect himself; the state could not disprove that--as they were obligated to do under florida law. jury had no choice tbh. don't mean zimmerman is morally right, just that state couldn't prove case.

No , and what about that "star witness"? What help was she to them? I wasn't following the case, but one day I caught the day's proceeding recap on NBC, I think, and it was the testimony of the girl who was talking to Trayvon on his cell that night. Did they just not prep her in ANY way? I was really shocked by what I saw of that testimony, and it amazes me that the prosecution thought that an almost adverse witness was going to help them----or are they that incompetent and their entire case was all so poorly prepared?
