i don't think we could build a good friendship. you're set in your ways and you've made too many insensitive comments towards blacks for me to just forgive you. we can be associates but not friends.
    Thats OK with me.

    Do you do yard work?

Most of the white posters that I've seen get up in arms over reverse racism also happen to be users who have a history of posting racist things and using words such as coon, n!gger, spook, etc.

    I just hope it's trolling.

And most black people I know are just fine with using those same offensive words with each other, even when I'm in their presence. If those words were so upsetting, you'd figure the group that was offended by them wouldn't spit it out every 15 seconds

I wanna be your new white friend.

Teach you the error of your ways before it's too late.
"Ok my new negro friend, rule #1 ALWAYS look at my shoes when I'm speaking to you. In the meantime, if you notice my shoes needs a shining, clean them only after I've finished addressing you. And please, please don't call me "master", that is just insensitive!"

I have never once seen blacks refer to each other as coon, spook, etc. Only . And even nowadays, a lot are going away from that as well.

Either way, saying "they do it too!" or "they started it!" is an argument that little kids use and doesn't justify ignorant behavior. Be the bigger man.

Man, your last sentence says it all. If everyone had that mindset this race thing would die.

Calling somebody a racist is a pretty strong accusation with some really strong implications behind it. I made a few posts that disagree with you an you just resort to "we'll we disagree so you must be a racist." It just shows a ton of insecurity from your part and is a lame argumentative tactic, much like when stern asked Jim Rome if he stopped beating his wife. Pathetic

You most certainly suggested such. "If they do it all the time too(which is a huge generalization in and of itself and would require some sort of proof for me to take it seriously), why is it a big deal?"

I know you ain't racist man. You just gotta call what it is, and race relations in this country generally consists of people pointing towards one isolated incident and using it or it's aftermath to paint whatever narrative they want about whatever race(s) involved.

Guarantee you media made more reporting about this than the boring ass NSA scandal or our SC making corporatist rulings that pretty much protect them from being held liable should they up and ruin people's lives.

Definitely. The point I was making was that engaging in they kind of talk only invites it from others. If all blacks stopped using those words, it would go a long way if their goal is to truly eliminate its usage by all people

Even then, there's a huge difference between black people appropriating the word " " in order to take most of the power out of the word and white people using it to demean the black race....

Remedial lesson for naive white guy: "Racist" doesn't mean the same thing to a black guy that it does to you. To you "racist" has horrible connotations of bigotry and moral opprobrium. To a black person "racist" means you are a white person, or a non-white person who at some point in his life has agreed with a white person about something. At some point in your life, you will come to understand that articulate rebuttals might as well be offered to walls and trees as to blacks, and respond with something they understand instead, i.e. " you n!gger."

The n-word is different. All racial slurs are bad and should be done away with but the ramifications of the n-word just doesn't compare with the other slurs.
