He was the bass player for Shadows of the Knight. He made zillions on g.l.o.r.i.a. He's been one of the greatest sidemen in the history of blues and is regarded as one of the better guitarists around by those guys mentioned above. Plus, he's played with them and more.

Albert Collins was a huge influence. Cross cut Saw was a particular favorite of Joe's.
