Lebron is in the media far less than he should be considering his marketability. I like him, he's a beast and he's not a 2nd stringer trying to coattail to a ring.

to be fair, even with that performance, with 28 secs left, it still wasn't enough. ray allen bailed his ass out.
That's stupid. You have to have a chance to win the game before anyone can hit a game tying shot. Lebron was far and away the MVP of the Finals.

There should have never been a game 7. The heat didn't win a championship the Spurs lost a championship. Sure he put up numbers but when the hit the fan he the bed. And it was missed free throws, bad coaching and ray allen that bailed him out. The shot he called a "jordan moment" in game 7, they had the lead so where was the make or break pressure? that got!
Damn you salty as . It's a game, everyone made millions except us and they aren't sitting around lamenting our misfortunes in life. Get over it. Have a donut.

I actually liked the ESPN special where they talked about his work with the Akron school kids. He gives them bikes if they pass the 3rd grade. Pretty cool stuff. While I'm not huge on his antics on the Heat, I have to give him props for supporting at risk youth.
Honestly, when athletes spend a few thousand dollars on gifts, and make sure the public finds out/and or runs a special on them doing so I laugh to myself. They have hundreds of millions and spend a few bucks to get attention. I will never respect that, yet the average Joe and public eats it up and gushes. It's a in joke. You should know better, as should we all. Obviously I'm a Spurs fan, but a guy like Tim Duncan who does all the right things and keeps to himself while doing immense good for the community will always earn my respect, and there are others like Tim. They just don't need all the attention or TV specials. That's how you know who is legit, and who isn't. You just have to dig a little.

BTW, Lebron is by far the best player in the game right now. No one can take that from him. Man up and give his game props. Does he have shortcomings? Yes. But he is still the best in today's NBA.

Is this a joke? Lebron is the best player in the NBA and quickly becoming a top 5 player of All TIme. Guy has already made 3 straight Finals and going for 4 in a row. Last top great players to do that was Kareem and Magic when they went to 4 straight Finals in a row in '82, '83, '84, and '85.........and they went 2-2. LeBron has a chance to go 3-1 in his possible 4 straight appearances. Who is gonna beat this Miami team? MJ and Kobe never went to 4 straight Finals. The guy is gonna go down as a top 3 player of All Time when all is said and done. I get that their are people out there that just love to hate on people who succeed...knock yourselves out...but the fact remains the guy is the most dominant force in the NBA today.

You have a pinhole view of reality in this case if you think these athletes make these PR decisions. It's an NBA thing, an agent thing. Athletes play ball, many aren't even literate enough to make PR decisions worth millions. They are used up and the fat white guys behind the scenes make hundreds of millions and remain spotless while the ignorant negro male gets type cast as a greedy con artist.

Jordan could have been to 8 finals in a row if he did not retire TBH, but otherwise good post. I feel MJ 8 peats though if he did not retire that year and a half. I agree on Bron though, man what a player he is, without him this year Miami is a 7th seed or less, period.

He is the best player in the NBA at the moment, there is no denying that. However I feel I would have had more respect for him as a basketball player if he stayed with the Cavaliers and led them to a championship instead of forming a superteam in Miami basically screwing the Cavs fans, etc. He has won 2 NBA les with plenty of help to get him those, as designed. Michael Jordan never sold out like that, he stayed the course with the Bulls and the championships the Bulls won Jordan made his teammates better, very respectable. LeBron doesn't have to make his teammates better, he has Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and a bunch of talented ring chaser players past their prime there in Miami. MJ had Pippen, and some good talent but nothing as ridiculous as LeBron has.

So anyone that thinks LeBron is better than Michael Jordan or ever will be, have a good laugh. LeBron is LeBron, if he doesn't have help he can't win championships someone has to design it and buy him one. The Spurs championships are very impressive because Duncan is an amazing leader and they did it all through drafting, etc, not bought like LeBron's in Miami. The Bulls with Jordan did it very similar to the Spurs....so if people hate LeBron and Miami, they deserve it all.

I am going to put a theory out there that the reason Pop really didn't try that hard to win game 6 is because he didn't want to damage Lebron's legacy. It may not even have been a conscious idea but the way he didn't go for the jugular and coached like it was a regular season game in the 4th. Did you see him hugging Lebron after game 7. He must have been the happiest person for him.
Than Pop is the stupidest NBA coach ever, no coach throws a series to preserve a players legacy, in sports its compe ion all that matters is your legacy. Hogwash, the Spurs had their chances and blew it fair and square. Miami really got lucky in that series. While your at it you can make the case that Manu cared about LeBron's legacy to with all those turnovers which really hurt the Spurs in the finals. The Spurs played really hard, the only thing that will make you all get over that Finals loss to Miami is if the Spurs get back there and win it all in 2014, aside from the Bulls winning the NBA le, I hope you do it and if Miami is there please return the favor!

I don't get Spurs fans. They disrespect a guy who plays for money only and never gets a ring and doesn't make the moves necessary to win one, then they disrespect a guy who, as a free agent, goes elsewhere because his ty owner wouldn't bring in talent needed to get over the hump. It's not like Gilbert was paying max money for Lebron.

Almost any team he would have gone to would have been pushed over the top. Chris Bosh isn't even needed in that scenario. Imagine him in Dallas with Dirk had TC stayed, or in Chicago with Rose, Deng and Noah, or in Boston with KG, Pierce and Rondo. , imagine him with the big 3 in SA (that's why people have him anyhow, because they wanted him on their teams).

Everyone loves a stacked home team, but they hate a stacked opponent.

It's not Lebron's fault that he's as good as two top tier players at once. If the Spurs could do what Miami is doing, they'd do it in a heartbeat. It's not like Miami is spending Lakers like money.

Everyone who claims they'd have more respect for LeBron if he stayed in Cleveland is disingenuous as .... he'd still have zero rings and you'd be calling him a choke artist, don't lie.....

It's funny how Bullsfan seems to be some of Kang's biggest haters.... you didn't have a problem when the Bulls bought championships in the '90s by bringing in Rodman, signing Harper, etc.

Yeah...I feel the same way. I should have clarified my post. While I think LeBron ends up top 3 of All Time....MJ is clearly my #1 player of All Time. Had he not "retired"...I agree he would have made 8 straight Finals. If Pop didnt bench Duncan in the last minutes of game 6 and let Duncan go 5-0 in the Finals...he is top 5 of All Time....easily(I still think he is but alot of NBA fans dont think so). I think the top 5 players of All Time are coincidentally the best players at their position: Magic(PG)/MJ(SG)/LeBron(SF)/Duncan(PF)/Kareem(C).............that would be the best lineup of All Time.

How about in game 7? Was that a coaching problem as well? You do realize game 7 decided the championship, right?

It's funny to watch Laker fan wring their hands over Kobe's legacy as Lebron takes a huge bite from it every year.
