he wasn't given the starter spot when i made the list. i'll update it later tonight.

welcome back, avante. just in time for the season. you, Creepn and myself were the mvp's of this forum last year with our support of the black qb. nobody but us saw it coming, doggie.

and yea i saw the florida state game. i remember watching Jameis in high school and seeing him on the Elite11 show. the kid is a beast and is going to be the number 1 pick when he comes out. i can't wait for the black qb haters to be salivating for him or bridgewater on their teams in a couple years
    Thanks bro.

You see it and I see it as does Creepn, actually anyone with two good eyes can see it. The Black QB will be taking over, we are already seeing it at the HS/NCAA level and where does the NFL get their QB's?

Gonna be a fun season watching all those who don't get making excuses.

avante was called racist for his support of black qb's

They all go down with knee/concussion injuries imo. Even if they don't get hurt they won't be anything special this year either; on account teams will be better prepared for their gimmicky bull .

oh and josh freeman is nothing more than a glorified jason cambell.

I call it as it really is. Being a track fan first I'm well aware of the obvious differences.

I actually think Freeman is a mix of Campbell and Vince Young (not really in a good way). He's the very definition of an inconsistent quarterback, and it all averages out to him being mediocre. But when he was on (2010), he had that transcendent "winning" quality that Young, Vick, Manziel and Tebow had during their good moments. His best season had him throwing for 3500 yards and 25 touchdowns with only six interceptions. Even though those numbers speak of a game-manager, anyone who watched the Bucs that year knows Freeman looked like he was more than that.

I'm not saying that he's better than average. But he set career highs last season with Jackson in the fold. If he gets his 2010 magic back, the Bucs can do a lot of damage.

we'll see. i must admit, it was good seeing so many people in this forum eat crow last year. the hate was so strong. the future is even brighter, the 2 best collegiate qb's are black!

rg3 and kaep easily will be the best on the list.

Freeman could do pretty decent too.

Vick, Manuel, Wilson, Newton all have pretty numbers but lead their teams to mediocre records.

pryor plays for the raiders, enough said there.

geno Smith just straight up sucks and will get Rex fired.

it means you come off as the type who doesn't actually watch a majority of the games, but watches their sportscenter summary instead. rg3 and kaep get most sportscenter hype from the group, so naturally they're great. the other guys are average. guy on raiders = he sucks. guy on jets = he sucks, etc.

  13. #38
oh, I wasn't aware that the season had started and that there were games to watch.

But the guy on the Raiders does suck as does the team. Badly. That is not ESPN, that is reality. Do you disagree?

I agree. was looking at his post as whole, not just that part. the raiders are god awful . at least other years I had hope, especially after back to back 8-8 seasons (amazing, right?)

clearly talking about last season based on your assessment of said quarterbacks

Ahhh, I see. How do Raider fans feel about DMC now (in general)? Do they blame him for being seemingly lazy and not caring or is it a symptom of a sick franchise?

but espn loves sucking off Russell Wilson, whereas I find him to be very mediocre. there's one hole in your theory.

he's awful at the first level. a few seasons ago our offensive line was doing well, and that's when he blew up. once the he manages to get past d-lineman, he's one of the best runners in the league. deceptive power. he doesn't have the lower body strength you'd need for him to be a "push the pile" guy like marshawn lynch, Adrian Peterson, nor does he have the lateral agility you see in a lot of great backs. poor agility/lower body strength = can't get past the d-line unless the hole is right there. as for his demeanor, he's fine, but terribly injury prone/slow healer. i'm guessing his pain tolerance is too, though this is a contract year. he knows damn well nobody will pay him if he has another season where he misses 3+ games. i'd be glad to bring him back, but not for franchise tag money. and no, not a product of sick franchise, that's a lame excuse. in the hue Jackson years we saw plenty of guys give tremendous effort. if you basically want to know whats wrong with the raiders, pre-superbowl blowout Al Davis was more like Jerry Buss, and post-superbowl blowout Al Davis = Jim Buss. we never even got back to the playoffs, free agent signings, drafts. always trying to reload instead of truly rebuild. this year and last year were seasons of cap casualty. 1/3 of our cap this year is dead money coming from cuts on guys like McClain, Seymour, etc. we're paying carson palmer something like 10 million this year. i'm just glad we're actually cleaning house instead of restructuring as usual

It seems like most players who join the Raiders end up with career low numbers. Randy Moss being an example . Daunte Culpepper is another.

randy moss put up good numbers (but not randy moss numbers) his first year here when we still had Collins. in his 2nd and final year here, Andrew walter was our starting qb
culpepper was beyond washed up before joining the raiders

Those are just some examples, I'm sure there are plenty more that receive record-low numbers(warren sapp)
I just would not be surprised if Darren McFadden went to another team and produced career record breaking numbers

2012’s reigning rookie of the year is coming off knee surgery and is poised to have another breakout season.
Is it possible to have a "breakout season" right after your first "breakout season"?

Doesn't "breakout" imply that he, well, "broke out"? Like, he's proven already?

i'm pretty sure sapp had a 10 sack season for us. was serviceable at first but was in the tail end of his career anyway.
