Argentina will be fine, of course not at the Golden generation level fine but fine as in most of its history: top 2 / top 3 in South America fighting with good chances to get into WC's and Olympic games.
Cory as a scorer has developed well, but he needs to improve his game as a play-maker. He looks great when his shot is on, but he looks awful when he is not scoring. That's the part of the game he needs to develop the most.

Splitter isn't that old and there are other bigmen like Vitor Faverani or even Fab Melo (if he gets it). Now, it's true that Brazil lacks of perimeter players.
I really don't believe Fab will ever get it together, Faverani never played in the National team he refused to play last three summers so I dont know if the coach will keep calling him. Splitter really seems to like to play for the NT though he wasn't happy with the comments of the coach following this tournament.
What did he say about Magnano?
He didn't say anything directly to Magnano, but After Brazil got eliminated Magnano gave interviews kind of blaming Brazil shortcomings on the NBA players that didn't show up. After that Splitter tweeted somethings like "Some people said that the blame was on the players that didn't show up" and remembering all the times he played while injuried or when his sister was sick. So by the context I think he wasn't very pleased with Ruben.
EDIT: Another quote of Splitter's twitter "Defeat is where we know best and never any of us pointed the finger at the other"
Magnano complained because some of the NBA players said they would play, but in the end all of them refused to play. I mean, he was counting with them from the beginning, he calls them, they say they will play, but in the end none of them are there to play.
Magnano is absolutely right to complain. Splitter has always played for the NT (even in bad situations as Mayhem321 said), but if he did not have the intention to play, he should have said it from the beginning. The same can be said about Varejao, Nene, Barbosa and the rest.

I agree he has the right to be upset but complaining about it publicly wasn't a smart move since the NT without them isn't good enough to win against ing Jamaica. Also, Barbosa and Varejao were really injured but Magnano threw all of them under the bus. I think Magnano was used to the crazy argentinians that never refuse to play.
Bruno and others what are your opinions on Donta Smith, who played for Venezuela

Via team webpage, @MaccabiHaifa have stripped Donta Smith (@DontaSmith) from its roster: mhbasket.co.il/News.asp?id=19… pic.twitter.com/zlQcL8i3Pt
David Pick (big fan of Donta) has been mentioning his name a bit during FIBA Americas, he doesn't specify if Donta off the roster is from him signing with another team, etc.
I believe he was on the Spurs 2006 Summer League roster.
He isn't especially long, is a poor shooter and isn't a great defender so he is pretty much the exact opposite of the kind of players should go after.
This might make it sound it like he is really old, he is 29, but I have read about him in a book (Brave Dragons, interesting read about some of the strange things that happen in chinese basketball). An interesting player because of his playmaking and rebounding skills as a wing. His unselfishness made him stand out in the Chinese league where import players are usually just asked to put up great stats by recklessly gunning for baskets.
His shooting numbers don't look too promising though. Last year in Isreal he just shot 29.5% from three on 78 attempts and his FIBA Americas numbers are even worse.
