Hibbert
I have no idea how some of you would prefer having LeBron over beating LeBron, but I guess that's the same logic LBJ used when heading to Miami.
And when was that ever said about Kobe Bryant by anyone but a Lakers fan?
I was thinking AD for the future.
Okay if AD, Davis would do. I'll tell you something for nothing sports fans, I'd take a healthy Bynum.
never, tbh
What's with that corner?!
1. (just making sure we win more 2-3 ships) Lebron
2. (giving us a great shot while building for the next 12 years) Unibrow
3. (trying to be somewhat realistic) Paul George
4. (trying to be realistic without kidding) Gordon Hayward or Ersan Ilyasova
5. (german homer pick just to make sure german commentators ... !!! over our Spurs) Dennis Schröder
i'd take a young wilt chamberlain, equally likely to happen tbh.
^ truth
If I'm not allowed to pick Lebron, I'd pick a teammate of Lebron's (preferably Bosh since the Spurs need a good center bad, to help Tim in the paint). Not saying Bosh is the best center of the league but picking one key player off the Heat would substantially weaken that team, therefore it would increase the Spurs odd of beating them if there came a rematch of 13' finals.
Bosh doesn't even exist in 2013 finals.![]()
Locking up Matt Bonner for years to come when combined with Pops coaching will bring us many more Championships.
Kevin Love, Davis, Bledsoe.
What about you come back to this thread when you've understood the OP's question?
Stephen Curry
Exactly. There's never been a time when someone would answer "Kobe" to that question. It would have been "Shaq" and after that "Lebron", even when Lebron was in Cleveland and Kobe was winning the b2b. That's because Kobe has never, not once, been the most coveted player in the game.
What many of you don't seem to get is a player doesn't sign a 12 year contract. You get them for one contract. Why would you, given the option of any player, choose a "down the road" guy? We made it to the Finals with the group we have. Adding Lebron would make us far and away the favored team, and James would play the system as well as anyone because he's not a selfish player. Once you have him, you could easily get all the pieces to go around him for cheap, just like Miami did. There are a ton of guys out there who are solid role players who just want a legit shot at a ring.
Of course none of it would happen because almost no one wants to live in SA, and you'll almost never find a top tier player like Tim or David who doesn't think big city as soon as their contract is up.
...and what does that have to do with my post?
Btw, couldn't Unibrow be one of these guys, that stick around a franchise even if it's not NY, LA or Chicago?
2. (giving us a great shot while building for the next 12 years) Unibrow
Could he be? Sure. If he was, he'd stay with his current team so you've already created a conflict in terms.
Anthony Davis..... Young with tons of upside. Now has a 18 foot jumper, can block/altershots, rebounds well, and he knows how to play without the basketball in his hands.
The Brow for sure! I love the way he improved his game this year.
