Do you truly believe Johnny is a better pocket passer in college than Vince was?
How do you quantify composed?
Do you truly believe Johnny is a better pocket passer in college than Vince was?
Absolutely. The statistics overwhelmingly agree with me.
Vince never needed to attempt many passes so the stats aren't really very telling. Texas was usually in control by half time and Vince was usually pulled well before the 4th Quarter. Manziel is averaging about 40-50 attempts per game, Vince averaged about 25-30 per game.
vince was a man amongst men. i saw him in the big xii championship when they destroyed colorado by 70 something points. he was sitting on the bench drinking gatorade by halftime.
dont be stupid
Take your own advice. Johnny has sat through many quarters this year.
No one said he didn't.
But compare VYs big season, to JFF's year last season, and its clear that VY sat considerably more by the fact that there were over 120 less plays completed in which he either passed or ran.
Not to mention A&M runs one of the fastest pace offenses in the nation...
Vince was a God in that game and the Kansas game when it counted. But for gosh sakes Manziel in his first year came in and was fabulous. And he is better this year. I love football. Manziel is absolutely unique.
He is the Ali of college football. He thumbs his nose at all the good guy protocol and then backs it up on the field. The Aggies must play full out because their D stinks. He is the most valuable player in college football. Twice. If he does not win the Heisman it will be because of his off field antics in the summer and or because he has already won it.The best up to this point.
What I find so ironic is that if he played for Texas, the Aggies would despise him like no other. He is so NOT Aggie... It's a joy to see.
Making pros look like children is a lot more impressive than making slow college DB's look like fools.
You are the LAST person on this board who needs to judge others posts.
Of course we would hate him. I don't wish anything but bad for the horns.
He is exactly what I've always wanted our program to have and has been needing for years. We needed a guy to come in and have an at ude and all out confidence... but to get a guy like Johnny is more than anyone could have hoped for.
Oh okay. I'm sure that is 100% the reason why. Absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Texas was completely dominating every team they played that season and was generally blowing teams out by the 3rd quarter, if not halftime.
Geez what's with the butthurt by you? oh, nvm lol aggy
Facts = butthurt. Got it.
but he does go to Texas A&M and he is an Aggie. Soooo
I'm going to throw Petty into the mix. He's already top-3, but I could see him vaulting himself into the lead with a big game on Saturday.
Gaudy stats, no comp internally from Seastrunk, ESPN hype machine on Saturday, being the perceived "good guy" alternative to Winston and Manziel...all reasons I think he has a legit shot at it.
He does. Especially if we only win 1 of the next 2 or lose both. What drives me crazy about Baylor is the fact that the team deserves a much better fan base.
An OSU source told The Oklahoman that Baylor did not request its full allotment of 3,800 tickets and then only sold about 700.
So you and Sisk show what true Aggiedom is. Hate Texas more than loving your own team. Texas fans can at least appreciate awesome football. Going to the SEC was the best move ever. The big hard Orange Sun still weighs on you though.
Can you imagine Texas fans actually rooting for the Aggies in the SEC? How about the other way around?
I think this is what distinguishes the two sets of fans. Little brother has left the house and is out on his own. But will always envy big brother.
On the other hand you have two chances to make Saturday the best day of the week; A Texas loss and an Aggie win. What has to be troubling is which would you rather have?
Please beat LSU. I would really like to see that.
They will be sawing off horns until the end of time tbh.
lol, yeah right. half of the posts in this thread are texasfan trying to diminish/deflect JFF's accomplishments and circlejerkingVince
(
out of the NFL and trying to beg)
Takes more than a few seasons to change a culture. Briles is on the right track, though
