I'm not honestly saying I think Indiana will do it. I'm just saying if I was going to put my money on anybody it would be them. Or Miami. Strength of schedule in the East just makes that grind that much more manageable.
This. An East powerhouse team has a much better chance than the West, where the depth of quality teams will hand out a few losses to even the best teams.

But still the odds of it happening this season are very small.

Yup, much more likely. If they somehow catch those west/Miami teams on the right nights and push that 8-7 to 10-5, I could see them winning around 90% against the rest of the teams if they continue to play D on steroids. I think they finish around 64 wins as will the Heat, particularly with Rose's injury.

    People need to stop.

It will never happen, again. At least not in the foreseeable future.

One reason, once a team makes the playoffs, the coach will always ease off the throttle and sit key players. Jackson didn't, hence the record.
Don't talk when you know nothing about that. Because you're wrong... Phil rested them and they still won 72

no and let's be happy if we get 60. 60 is still extremely impressive and will likely net us the top seed (#2 at worst).

Great start, but let's not be a Suns fan and act like early season success means we're gonna be a legendary team later. All it means is our final season record will be a little nicer than typical if we don't falter later. I'd be a lot more excited if we had this record at the end of the postseason.

You'd be happy with 11 wins in the Post season? Because that won't even get us TO the Finals, let alone THROUGH the Finals.

60 wins, #1 seed, and a healthy team going into the playoffs will put the spurs in the best position to get back to the finals.

As long as they win the last four of the finals, I'm a happy man.

I'm not sure people REALLY understand what this means. You need to finish 73-9. There are essentially 6 months in the NBA season. To break the record, you would need 3 months of 2 losses and 3 months of only 1 loss. Someone mentioned Miami. They already have 3 losses, and we're not even out of November yet. That means over the last 5 months, they can only lose 6 games. Not going to happen.

It's way too early to be talking about this, anyway. If a team gets to 37-4, they're roughly halfway, and it becomes a topic for discussion.

I clearly said "at the end of the postseason", not, "for the entire postseason". You even bolded it, so there's no way you didn't read it. It means I would like our postseason to end with that record, aka over our last 12 games in the postseason. I don't know how else to explain it if you don't get it.

#1 seed will help but what will help even more is learning how to play against quick athletic teams that use small ball like the Heat and being less reliant on TP. The Pistons in '06 started out very well after they're Finals loss to the Spurs.
