Is there a reason why every time this team drops a game you have to lower your expectations? What area of the country do you live in where any of your favorite sports teams run the table every year?

I'm just going to go ahead and point out that you were one of the people who said we wouldn't make it out of the first or second round of the playoffs last year and guaranteed a loss in virtually every match up or when ANY team took a 5 point lead on us.

Fans of the Spurs do not put up with mediocre play in here for the most part. FWIW they haven't been mediocre since 1996. The Cowboys have been mediocre/terrible since 1996. A lot of fans don't "put up with" Jerry's long term poor management. I refuse to give the Cowboys money for either tickets or merch.

I will go to a Spurs game in SA at least once a year (a long trip for me and family) because they do things the right way for the most part. They have earned that support over the last 17 years.

Going seven games in the NBA finals is a season where the team was a lot better than mediocre.

Hmm I usually agree with some of your posts, but I mean you can't expect every team in the NBA to win a championship. It shouldn't be a wasted season, this is sports for entertainment. It's not like them winning makes our lives better.

Ofcourse, but there's a long way from that to "wasted the MLE on Jackie Butler 2.0"... dude is making $1.75m... the MLE is over $5m...

Signing Ayres so early with a part of the MLE killed any flexibility the front office had in free agency. Before coming to SA, Ayres played less than a hundred games...averaging around 8 min/game. What the did he do to deserve anything above the minimum? I'm just surprised that SA, a front office that's usually conservative with their budget, overpaid so much for someone with little to no talent.
