What I don't get is why Pop can't say it long in advance, so that no one loses... What need is there to be all secretive other than the fans?
What need is there to give it all out.

Fans aren't ed. They know what comes with buying a ticket to a game now a days.

To summarize, I don't like the guy but I don't hate him either. I'm totally apathetic to Stern.

I do think him fining us $250k last season was a slight against the Spurs given that the Heat and Celtics essentially did the same thing, but $250k doesn't affect Spurs fans so I don't really care.

Fans of every team hate Stern. Laker fans literally call the Spurs the "San Antonio $terns" because they think Stern helped us win championships due to his relationship with Peter Holt.

Non-laker teams think Stern helps the Lakers because they're a big market team and there's lots of ad revenue on the line.

    It's comical and it's all bull .
Stern has said his dream final would be Lakers v. Lakers. The only thing comical is you believing he doesn't have a rooting interest in big market teams.

If you buy a ticket to a Spurs game that is the third in four nights or the fifth in seven nights, and particularly if that game is a road game against a quality team, you do so at your own jeopardy. I think that's a pretty well-established thing by now.

Agreed. Problem is, people don't do their homework. They just pick the game they want to go to, yet fail to look at the schedule prior to that game. I think we can all agree that April is a month to stay away from going to the games.

The ? Are you being purposely stupid or just trolling me? You seriously don't think Stern has a rooting interest in big market teams? He fined us last year for sitting out players and didn't fine the Heat for doing the exact same thing. As a mental exercise, can you tell me the difference?

If they lose to OKc again at full strength and rested then we may finally get some real change...
I'm not sure if Parker will be back for that game.

Realistically, this is good. We can give players like Thomas, Baynes, and Joseph minutes to prove themselves. Mills should start considering he looks like TP9 whenever he plays against Golden State. Ayres might get the start, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Diaw get it either. Thomas should get a few minutes too.
I want to see if Thomas is consistent with that 3pt shot and can play defense. Should be a good game to try Baynes against Bogut. Joseph I think needs the playing time more than anybody as he has not played in the D-League this season(and it shows).

Of course he has a "rooting interest" you ing idiot. That's not what the argument was about. I implied that there's no conspiracy to actively engage in helping out big market teams.

Jesus christ you are literally re ed. I was actually joking about your brain damage before but holy you're literally re ed

You literally believe that Stern actively fixes games to keep small market teams like the Spurs down and you still watch the NBA anyway.

If I legitimately thought that the league was fixed there would be no point in watching the NBA.

I'm all good with the Spurs doing this, but if I'm TNT, I'm apoplectic right now. The Spurs did the exact same thing last year (vs Miami) while playing on TNT. These networks plan to broadcast these nationally televised games months in advance, and the Spurs not playing their stars when these games finally come is like spitting in their face.

We'll see how many times the Spurs play on TNT in the future. You just CAN'T do this when the game is going to be nationally televised.

Blame the NBA for their scheduling. Like Sean said on FSSW last night, the Spurs were already in Cali playing the Clips so why not have them play the Warriors next instead of having to fly down to Phoenix to play the Suns and then back to Cali the same night to play the Warriors the next day?

Even so, it's not like the Spurs get trounced when the big 3 don't play. We are a good team and entertaining to say the least. You can't tell me that Miami game wasn't fun to watch last year.

No, you're generalizing. I live in the Bay Area so I don't get many opportunities to see the team live. I DID my homework and worried the team might do this but I got the tickets anyways because I'm a fan and again, don't have the chance to see them too often because of where I live.
