Wow, just listened to the Red McComb's interview on ESPN San Antonio. He is NOT a happy camper!! He pretty much threw the new regime under the bus and ran over about 3 or 4 times just for good measure. I have to admit I lost a lot of respect for Red after this interview. He sounds like he's fed up and gonna take his ball and go home!! Of course Minnix and Dat are defending him
Red McCombs. Certain boosters can't die soon enough.

A&M has offered S Matrell McGraw after the recent news about Dylan Sumner-Gardner. McGraw is said to be down to Oregon and UCLA but will now take an official to A&M. McGraw is also teammate of LB recruit Kenny Young who remains atop A&M's wish list at LB. They will both be visiting together so hopefully this works out and they end up pulling both now.

A&M has recently hired DB coach Terry Joseph from Nebraska to take over for Yates and McGraw already had an offer from the Cornhuskers.

All signs have pointed to defensive backs coach Terry Joseph leaving Nebraska to join Texas A&M after the Aggies interviewed him and offered him the job last week. A former NU recruiting target, River Ridge (La.) safety Mattrell McGraw, confirmed as much in aRivals.com interview when he said Joseph offered him a scholarship to Texas A&M over the weekend. McGraw played in the Semper Fi high school all-star game this weekend.
“I’m chilling in my hotel room and I got a message from Coach Terry Joseph on Facebook,” McGraw said. “He told me he was on his way back to Nebraska and he’ll be back Tuesday to sign a contract with Texas A&M or something like that. He told me they need safeties and they need a baller like me and they would love for me to come down and visit on the (Jan.) 17th. And if I wanted to come to Texas A&M, I have the offer.”
Nebraska was McGraw’s fourth offer, but he said in the Rivals interview he wasn’t interested in NU and told Joseph so. Still, Joseph continued to maintain a relationship with McGraw throughout the season.
“He kept in contact with me just in case anything were to happen and when he got the Texas A&M job, he made the text over Facebook,” McGraw said.
McGraw said A&M’s entire coaching staff started following him on Twitter right around the time Joseph made the offer over Facebook. Here’s a tweet from McGraw on Saturday night.

Mack had to go solely off of not offering Winston. That's my thing. It doesn't count against the university to extend a offer. Alabama offers 300 kids every year. It's not like he wasn't the best Highschool QB in the nation coming out and u were scared that he may actually commit when u didn't necessarily have room. U make room for that commitment. Ok I'm done, unless FSU repeat next year.

That's what you took away from that game? Winston is a decent to good QB on a loaded team. He was 20/35 against a bad Auburn defense and almost 1/3 of his passing yards came off of one dump off pass in the 4th quarter. The guy is overrated.

His receivers dropped a ton of balls, his line didn't play their best game, and he still settled down and started moving the ball....

This is just so far off base. As another poster said, his receivers dropped four passes, including at least one critical third down. Auburn was in his face for the majority of the game with a four-man rush, which is a very difficult situation for a QB. In the fourth quarter when it counted, Winston was 9/11 for 117 yards and 2 TDs.

From arguing with other Aggies, I get the sense it pains A&M that Manziel isn't the best QB in college football. I had an Aggie friend telling me in the third quarter that Winston's loss was going to prove Manziel should have won the Heisman — nevermind the fact that Manziel finished fifth. Delusion.

Umm sir.. I've been saying that long before this game was even thought of. His receivers dropped a lot of passes and he, along with his teammates, had a rocky start. Being a good football player isn't all about physical ability and the numbers u put up. It's a lot of those things that can't be measured or that you can't see just from watching them play on Saturday/Sunday. Like preparation, hard work, and leadership. I think Winston excels in those areas. So what's most impressive with the win is how he and the team regrouped in the second half. Winston's leadership and pose is unheard of for a redshirt freshman. To be honest he has more leadership and pose than most, if not all the senior QB's in the College ranks currently. Stuff like that can't be coached and that's the focus of my opinion on him. Ash is a perfect example as Texas would love for him to be more vocal and a stronger leader but it's not in him to be that. That's what makes it so special. Plus I was being a little sarcastic in saying that Mack should go solely because he didn't recruit Winston. Yes, Texas with Winston is a plesant thought and that thought fueled my comment but that was just one of many reasons Mack needed to go. I know if he did get Winston to come to Texas that he probably would still have a job. So Mack is probably more disappointed in his decision not to recruit him than I am.

if you think Winston is better than Johnny. Put Winston on an average team and he's just not good. He thrives on being surrounded by incredible talent. Similar to AJ McCarron.

Both the Quarterbacks are very good so don't act as if Johnny is just in a whole different league of hierarchy over Winston. It's impossible to accurately predict how a player would do with or without certain players. But I would probably take Johnny over Winston IN COLLEGE if my team was average just based off of his scramble ability. But that doesn't mean he is better than Winston just for that, especially when u project them to the next level. I would take Winston over Johnny all day if I am a NFL owner because the NFL will neutralize a lot of that scramble ability Johnny possesses.

    Calls are fine right now.

No in-person contact with players, so Brown couldn't visit with UT coaches on campus until the dead period ends on January 15th.
