No. That's why they got a pure shooter in Belli. Manu's role hasn't changed from last season. Be a playmaker, and get everyone involved. He has shown improvements driving to the basket, but anything you get from outside from Manu is just gravy right now.

The Spurs lost because not only could Manu not shoot last year, but could not pass or dribble up the floor. He has to shoot. That's what he's paid to do on top of create. Spurs always have shooters (Mason Jr, Neal...), that doesn't mean Manu isn't paid to score and pass. Manu's role has changed because of his decline, not because of what the Spurs need him/pay him to do. He has to continue to shoot and score.

Disagree again. He's getting paid to be a coach on the floor for the second unit. The Spurs value that highly. He could chuck 20 shots a game, but his role isn't that. His role is making sure everyone gets touches, and if other players are hitting, then he doesn't need to chuck. Both the Bucks game and this game are a reflection of that (took under 4 shots, won by 20+). Against better teams, he has been more aggressive and played really well (last two OKC games, two games against Portland). He's obviously managing and picking his moments, as he should.
