Not knocking on Shannon Brown as I allways felt he was a decent bench player but another freaking 6 "4" Guard really!?! FO has completely gone full stupid.

Better than nothing, which is what that Ot o dude was anyways and he is an actual NBA player...that's good to have off the bench for a team with le aspirations instead of a bunch of glorified NBDL scrubs in Bonner, De Culo, Baynes, Joseph, and Ayres. Solid move and hope he stays longer if he suceeds.

Shannon Brown puts him in the bench. He could play 2 or 1 if Enrique sucks . Not too many choices for a serviceable big man right now. Bynum just got snapped up by Indy
And besides it's a 10 day trial. What do the Spurs have to lose by auditioning a guy with two rings?
Shannon Brown can definitely be a productive player off the bench. He can give us some much needed scoring.

Brown was/is a good player but with all the size and defense that Spurs lack on the perimeter, signing a small offensive minded SG is so weird.

Man it sure would be nice if RC and Pop stepped down and handed the reigns to some of the knowledgable folks here on SpursTalk. We'd just trade some ty bench players for a backup Small Forward who would take us all the way to the promised land!

Neal is also 6 "4" and yet despite his undersize, stupid-ass shot selection and terrible d, we were still seconds away from the le last year. Point is, Brown who's actually BETTER than Neal, being 6 "4" shouldn't kill us, especially if this only lasts 10 days.
The Spurs need bodies on the perimeter asap with everyone injured and he is one with a lot of NBA experience. Per par, all of you heads seem to think a LeBron James clone is going to fall out of a tree and sign a ten day. Not surprising, tbh.

now i'm not fluffing or anything, but this is at least a player worth trying. at least it's not a d league raw talent. it's been a while since he was efficiently effective though. bet he'd step up for a chance on the spurs.
still need the backup 3 and i think a favorable trade at the deadline will be when that all comes together.

I thought Shannon Brown was an up and coming player in the mold of Kobe. Dude has crazy hops, he's fast on the break, only needs direction. We'll see. Never understood why he was cut to begin with.
