Bowen was the best defender in the game for a long stretch. He deserved it.. ask any Spurs fan.

We also tried it back years before with Maurice Lucas and it failed, Riley admitted the mistake and went back to the fast break.

Bowen was a dirty . never liked the aura that came with it. he was an awesome player for us, but yeah, i never embraced his dirty antics which had nothing to do with defense. unlike laker fans who were riding metta after the elbow

As a strong missionary of God I never condemn anything God does because there is a reason for it. Lakerfans love their players no matter what I remember when Metta sent Harden to the hospital it brought big smile on my face because I knew Metta was repping Lakernation when he did that. It goes to show you that you are a re ed fan you should be thankful for the bible thumper and Bruce's dirty play because without it you have 0 les.

I never hid the fact that I appreciated bowens play and didn't enjoy his dirty antics. He was a dirty and I'll make that comment any day of the week. I think it's a role he embraced
