We should at least give Royce White a tryout, tbh. The drama-less Spurs might be just what his fragile mind needs to succeed. Then again, Pop would probably prison-rape his fragile psyche the first time he makes a mistake. It's a toss, tbh.

I said it before, but I would bring in Shawne Williams. While he doesn't hit the 3 consistently, he has shown the ability to make some and he has legit size and is a plus defender. I don't know if the prior baggage will turn the Spurs off though
not sure we've been watching the same shawne williams

Could as well be pinned to the top now as this is the only remaining question...

Deshaun Thomas is a 6"7 Gary Neal, not sure if there's a real point of signing him when the bench is already pretty weak defensively...

Royce White hasn't been signed last I heard, he worked out for the Kings a few days ago, extreme headcase but the talent level is the highest available basically, not sure they'd want a possible distraction for the 15th spot tho.... Could be very interesting if they finally decide to start Boris tho...

    Sacto signed Royce White.

His problems go WAY beyond not being able to fly.

The twelfth man should be available. He would be about as useless as anyone else the Spurs could sign.

Barring injuries, they won't bring in a serious player since anyone they sign can't be used in the playoffs, so there's no point really.

They may reward some Toro players with 10 contracts that give them a taste of the NBA (at least the bench part).

We're gonna dance with the ones who brought us this far. And they ain't too bad looking when healthy.

I still think they probably sign Howard and that the only reason they haven't so far is that, with them being fully healthy for the time being he obviously has no chance to play, so they probably figure that they might as well let him continue to get regular playing time for a few more weeks.

As done as he is, at this point it makes sense to sign him considering they only have four true wing players and he presumably has some level of understanding of the system. Also, in an emergency situation, a former relatively big name, who's played in the Finals before, is far more likely to get a fair shake from the officials and not be overwhelmed by the cauldron that is the playoffs, than someone who's had a cup of coffee in the league or is a career D-Leaguer.

I see where you're coming from but Howard just hasn't been very healthy this season. The Toros just signed another guy and put Howard on the inactive list.

I guess if he puts together a good string when he comes back....but I don't think he would carry the Spurs through and emergency situation.

How has Kabongo been doing lately? If we're talking about next year already, an position of need may be PG... Mills is gonna be a FA and Cojo is obviously not cutting it... That said I believe they left Cojo on purpose with the Toros so that he'd play the D league POs his first or second year so they probably will do the same with him...

At this point he would be our only shot, correct? He would be eligible to play in the playoffs..??

If they don't think he can stay upright, then another veteran of a similar ilk, such as Pietrus.

With the tax not being an issue, it doesn't make sense to go into the playoffs with four wing players (I think they view Daye as more of a stretch four). One injury and they'd go down to three wings, insert Joseph for spot minutes, or against a big SF, play Diaw some at it, but two injuries and they're going to need someone for spot minutes.

The Chinese Basketball Association season is currently in its playoff semifinals, meaning a slew of former NBA players could be available as free agents in the coming weeks. There has been interest in former Celtic Lester Hudson, who scored 40 points in Xinjiang’s victory over Dongguan. Former Sacramento King Bobby Brown tallied 45 points in that game. Other ex-NBAers in China are Shelden Williams, Delonte West, James Singleton, Donte Green, Yi Jianlian, Dominique Jones, and Hamed Haddadi.

I was thinking maybe Cartier Martin was rolling off his second 10 day, but I'm pretty sure they signed him for the rest of the season.

Still lamenting Bertans and especially Jean-Charles being injured. Either would have made a fine 13th man.

I don't recall that at all. I've been a huge advocate of bringing in young players. The only one I wanted to leave in Europe was Thomas.

Well the whole board ripped on me and laughed hysterically when I said we should bring Livio over to start developing young talent for life after Tim.

If you can find that thread, bump it or something. I'm curious. If I said anything against you, it probably wasn't directly about you wanting to bring LJC over. It also depends on when you said it, as many people wanted to stash LJC for more cap space. I wasn't one of those people, since I figured the team wasnt going to use cap room anyway.

I'm guessing it was the Draft thread, I'll look for it later. And yeah, I would of liked to see him here.
