No Parker no problems. That boy is overrated. Manu at #9 in the entire league at age 36, and Duncan at age 37 being #8 just shows you how much coat riding Parker has done. By the time Parker is 36, he won't be in the league.

Rubio can't shoot but still post high assist numbers even though teams play him for the pass. His assist to turnover ration is insane (career 3:1) gets a ton of steals as well 2.4 (in just 31 mpg)

You must be joking. Without Parker to hold the line against the BEST UNIT THE OTHER TEAM HAS TO OFFER and wearing them down all night, guys like Manu would have a ty +/-. Especially if they actually had to face the same units all night.

Duncan being #8 is no surprise but Parker helps with that too. Tiago is probably coattailing it though.

Other than that, I find it silly when fellow Spurs fans rag on each other for liking a particular Spur to show that their preferred Spur makes them "useless" in their opinion. I don't even hate Bonner. I hate it when he's over-used. He's a useful 5th big. He's a terrible 3rd big. And as a person, he seems like a great guy. Ayres is current my least favorite Spur. I'm disappointed in how little he's improved over the season.

Always Manu fans in here hating on Parker which shows me they are not real fans and will be gone when Manu is gone from the team! Quite a few just his country fans or just fans of him alot of times. Who as a Spurs fan can hate Parker so much? Nobody.

Since this is an RPM thread:

Hmm, by WAR, Ayres is the 35th best center in the NBA, 33rd by RPM, not bad in a 30 team league. Hmm, negative ORPM, but relative to what? Only 11 centers are positive ORPM. Small ball is better plus minus? Offensively Ayres ranks just behind Dwight Howard and just ahead of Timofey Mozgov. That's three guys with bad hands. Eye test passed. What really matters is that Ayres at 35th best center > Blair at 58th (and Belinelli at 38th best shooting guard [83rd DRPM] > Neal at 83rd [91st out of 91 DRPM]).

Hmm, by WAR, Bonner is the 31st best power forward ulatively even with little playing time in the NBA, 14th by RPM.

Does it pass the eye test? Maybe for Ayres when you realize how poor NBA centers are offensively, yes for Bonner (fabulous spacing, and as a defender, keeps in front of his man and blocks out well). Maybe Ayres and Bonner are the current Ollies.

I'm not sure what Ayres offers other than hustle (and bad hands) but Ayres' WS/48 is also adequate for a backup center.

That said, WS and RPM are quite away apart on Leonard. My eye prefers WS. I've seen a lot of Josh Smith before this year and DeMarre Carroll this year, and I'm amazed that Leonard is behind both in DRPM.
