I don't ever recall them getting smoked like this. Spurs were ing smoked off their own court. They couldn't counter with anything tonight. If not for Manu, Spurs could have been down 30 or 40 points. This is not just some loss, Dallas ing said, hey ers, WE CAN BEAT YOUR ASS type of beat down announcement.

The Spurs don't even have a Gary Neal level creator off the bench that can create his own offense (Manu excluded as he was there last season).
Lol do you not remember Games 3 and 4 of the 2005 Finals? The Spurs got walloped in both of those by like 60 combined points.

Mills is better at creating his own shot than Neal ever was, he's just looked like total for about a week or so now.

Yes or his usual, "they made shots, we didn't... we turned the ball over"
    Well, that's what happened, tbh.

Coaching has nothing to do with turning the ball over like you're giving away Halloween candy. Pop is the best but the team had a outing.
Oh you don't need to tell me, I was joking.

I haven't heard his "we looked liked dogs" line in a while. Maybe that's coming back.

No adjustments to the defense or the offense... couldn't get the ball moving with his starting unit.. had 2 days to fix this and didn't..

Your right does happen but again your trying to compare this situation to the past which has no relation. The Grizzlies owned the spurs during the regular season and went in the playoffs with supreme confidence against them. It also didn't help Manu broke his arm before that series.
No relation? they are playing like ing dinosaurs, you have really weird takes, lets see... Spurs swept OKC in RS in 2012 and then they backdoor swept us in the playoffs, happens and they already did stuff like that in the past.

Pop actually told Jim Boylen to game plan for the switching and the lockdown on the 3 point line and to try to find a way to get Kawhi the ball.. well, we can see what happened

Are you serious? Those two games weren't on the Spurs home court. I was replying to losing one of the first two games at home in a series. Losing big on the road to a defending champion team like the Pistons is not the same at all.

Edit : sorry, don't anyone take anything personal with any of my posts. I'm just pissed off at the Spurs.

It's amazing what 22 TOs will do to you. The Spurs finished the game at 50% shooting from the field, 50% from 3, 12 fast break points to Dallas' 17, and ended up getting more points from FTs than Dallas did despite shooting a shocking 64%, and lost by 21 points. Dallas put up nearly 30 more FGA and won by a margin that nearly matched their points-off-turnovers.

It has no relation the matchups are different. You are comparing OKC to this Mavs team thats laughable. Mavs have no super athletes outside of Monta who else on that team is super athletic plus their defense is terrible. You are just getting super emotional about this loss. Your pessimism really shows the way you are overreacting.

I can actually laugh at that the spurs defense really made him look like an all-star tonight.

    1) You didn't specify that you'd never seen them smoked like this at home, you literally just said 'I've never seen them smoked like this. They got smoked at home.' Two separate thoughts, don't be a bag.

    2) How much does it really matter, losing on the road in the Finals vs losing at home in the first round? They Spurs played piss poor in both cir stances, their opponent did not. Who gives a if Dallas is "just the 8 seed" and the Spurs were at home? They shot themselves in the ing foot, it's not unprecedented at all, and Dallas played really well. The series is 1-1, not 0-4, so bellyache about how lopsided this was all you want, it means jack .

Who cares about the matchups, you are saying that as an excuse, A team won against B team oh well it was a bad matchup, Im talking about losing no about matchups Dr Basketball, X and Os doesnt mean squat right now.
They are playing like is not about matchups this Dallas team sucks if they were so good they wont be sucking the last games to be the 8th seed.

that's an argument that works when you're having better shots and playing better D than the opponent. Today wasn't the case.

    Yes, I know.

Even with respect to those two players, your list ("the only adjustment we can make is to not play them or play them the same we already had") represents only a small portion of the options available to Pop.
    i guess we've seen..

Right and your logic makes no sense since you were comparing this loss to the spurs losing to the Sun in '10 and the Grizz '11. I was just stating that the spurs lost those series due to bad matchups. Even though the spurs lost this game I don't feel the mavs are a bad matchup like those two teams were in the past. The Spurs lost this game due to having a lack effort that is what cost them the game. The Mavs wanted this game more they came out with more energy and determination and hence they have the win. If the spurs lose the next 2 games in Dallas then they deserve to be written off.
