The Spurs are the best road team in the NBA. The Mavericks are not as good or as confident at home, and Dirk even admitted that in his interview the other day.
Sucks that this game is on Saturday. Still one more day
Tbh, after reading a lot of the comments by Carlisle, Dirk, and the rest of the Mavs, I get the feeling they're playing mind games with the Spurs. Really pulling out all the stops to steal this series.
They know if we make the necessary adjustments, we'll eventually win the series.
Hopefully in five games (I'm going to game 5)
If we somehow don't win the series there are a myriad of people to point the finger to but it all starts with the reigning COTY. If the Spurs lose this series, it'll be because Pop and his really bad rotations/minute allocation.
This whole JC calling Pop "Coach of the Century" and Dirk saying he doesn't feel confident going home for Game 3 has me on edge and I don't know why...
Yop, we'll find out how much of his coaching was him and how much was coach Bud/Brown.
Pop doesn't miss the shots on the field, he's not responsible if Manu loses control of the ball; Our players are the reasons for losses more than any other factor.

Memphis is getting rid of OKC for us. Portland is getting rid of Houston.

Pop is in charge of who is on the court and who is on the bench. Part of the problem during the first two games has been bad rotations (generated out of bad matchups) and bizarre minute allocations (see Leonard and Green's minutes).
We looked defeated last year after the first two games against the Warriors. We turned it around. We'll do the same against an inferior Mav team.
Those track jackets are slick
Sometimes the Spurs need these kind of lackluster games to regain their focus.
They circle the wagons better than any NBA team I know.
They just have to get off to a great start and weather any runs the Mavs will predictably make during the game.
We beat the Mavs 10 consecutive times before that loss, but people think we're still going to lose the series...
Spurs just need to actually try this game tbh.. Those first two games looked like the Last regular season game against the Lakers, where they didn't give a and just coasted... They've been playing that way ever since..
We won't lose the series tho I refuse to believe that.. I mean Devin fckin Harris?? Seriously???

According to the local paper, Pop has told Parker that he wants him to be taking a whole lot more shots in the next game.
Last game Tony took ten shots and made 5, and had three assists and three turnovers and some posters were accusing him of hero ball as the reason we lost the game.
I have always said that Tony does exactly what Pop wants him to do out there. When he is taking shots it is because Pop wants him to do that; if it is not, it is because Pop wants him to do something else.
I expect a full-on volcanic eruption from the likes of Nono and Johnny Ringo if Tony takes 25 shots in the next game. Regardless of how many he makes and regardless of whether or not the team wins the game, it will be eruption time because he is doing what he was told to do.
Saturday? WTF? When's the playoffs going to end this year, September?
