Doing nothing and waiting for the outcry to fade means the Clippers becoming a massive financial burden on the league with no sponsors, no remaining fans (even the diehards are gone if he gets to stay), and almost no ability to attract players or coaches, as well as the NBA being known as "the league with the racist owner" (yes, he was racist before, but casual fans and non-fans didn't know or care until now)....
Bull . Kobe raped and the Lakers still have sponsors.

Is it a crime to have racist thoughts?
    he aint offending anyone

tbh he knows the answers of a typical stereotype black/color/ethnic person, his just trolling and want to hear the answer from the horses mouth

i dont know why the horse gets offended if its a tbomb, sometimes whether its the majority/minority wthin the ethnic race that makes the whole look bad, u cant do about it besides continue to improve and distance urself from those negative people who continue to play the victim card me against the world...

most of them dumb s wont do cause they want to protect their income contracts, while the clowns doing about have an agenda, seriously all them clowns should know better then to around with a jew, 1%, let alone a billionaire....they need him more then he needs t hem

sterling can just field a ty team like he has b4 the super team, continue collect nba shared revenue...he has no problem from day 1

u notice the only wankers saying or continue to stir the pot is ex laker gots

Don't be surprise if the league imposes a fine and sweeps everything under the rug. If the Clippers goes deep in the playoffs, the narratives switches to how united the team and the fans are in times of trial. Winning cures everything.

DTS has been a racist for decades, yet Clipper fans have been supporting the team so it doesn't change anything. People just want accountability and the best way to do this is by means of public apology.

Apology and a large fine will right the ship for now. Asking him to sell the team will just prolong the issue thus dragging the Clippers branch deeper into the mud.

The scary thing is nobody is truly questioning on how the tapes were leaked in the first place. The masses are ignoring the fact that this man stated his beliefs in a private matter -he did not cause harm nor did he have intention to.

Suddenly everyone forgets Swowden and how he exposed the NSA for breaching citizen's privacy on all levels.

Fine Sterling 100M and let this be done with. He's not going to sell the team nor can they force him to.
I disagree with a monetary fine. It won't affect him and will just cause his team to suffer. It will be blood money in the league's pocket that goes to whom? Another Jew.

The market has to decide on this. If the league wants to make a statement about where they are headed in the next decade, they will pressure him to sell or turn over power to someone else. He'll claim Alzheimer's and that will be that. It has nothing to do with the Clippers. It's really a fight between an old ass rich man and his arm candy and I cannot believe the nation has wasted this much energy on it as if it's a shocking revelation that an old white man doesn't want his arm candy tagged with being a coal hauler.

He should give out free chicken to the crowd if DeAndre Jordan shoots 60% from the line. That will cure the crowd.

The only owners who are scared of setting this precedent are those with skeletons in their closets, imho.... there's a reason this hasn't even been considered before, and it's because it takes serious for the league to take your team away....
Everyone has skeletons in their closet. Even black people.

tbh, our Jew is thinking on front line of things. Gotta hand it to him, he thinks all the Clipper players should be FAs...

Calling Sterling comments disgusting, Leslie Alexander seeks to drive him from NBA

“I thought that there’s got to be a way to disrupt him from owning the team,” said Alexander, who after 20 years owning the Rockets is one of the longest tenured owners in the NBA. “I gave him the sword to deal with this. I said, ‘Let the players become free agents.’”

Cuban boycotted GA when a black kid got put in jail for getting head from a white girl a while back so I'm surprised he isn't taking a stronger stance here. Kinda disappointing.

I love how he called out Dad Killer and Kobe, but don't ignore the rest..

The real issue at hand here is that the white race is being demonized by this individual's private phone call. Suddenly he becomes a "rich white man" imposing his will on the "poor minorities". Then you have the president address the issue and it becomes the topic of america.

This is Trayvon Martin all over again. Any time a black related incident occurs it's an outrage and grabs national attention.

This all leads back to the black man blaming the white man.

you're pretty uneducated...but it's not a surprise for a hopper such as yourself.....why did they sign? because just like the chicken cowards KKK who where sheets to hide their faces he hid his as well.....all they likely heard is he's a humanitarian he's a good guy...Elgin Baylor lost his lawsuit, so he must not have discriminated...he's changed how do we know look see walk into his office and you'll see the huge NAACP award on his desk...he's ok to sign with now...David Stern validated him and his franchise.... i sure am glad you're just a dumb ass fan with a love for s with receding hairlines and nothing more tbh

The President was asked his opinion on it. He didn't hold a press conference about it (afaik). He's historically been well versed regarding the NBA (shocking I know) so getting his take on it is nothing out of the ordinary.

I don't think it's about white vs black here. I think it's about a franchise owner in a league of predominately black players (not that it matters) who's racial bias was made known even if against his will. How can you work for or even allow to represent you a man who's racial bias is known? Every decision made by him will be tainted by that fact. If people like Doc continue to work for him, shame on them. They have the loudest voices here and if they cannot speak with their wallets then they don't really care. The hollow gestures are akin to the pink ribbons for breast cancer worn by those who never donated a dime.

NPR was talking about this this morning and said that any punishment would have to be decided by the league's cons ution, which is not a public do ent and that, though no one knows for sure what it says, that reportedly the only violation for which the league can take away a team (or force to sell) is for gambling.
