I agree with most of this. It hasn't added intrigue for me though. It's all justright now. You can only scrutinize and analyze a player so much before it starts getting out of hand. And all of the mock drafts...

In the final days before the draft, there has been a lot of speculation that the Houston Texans could take Buffalo outside linebacker Khalil Mack instead of South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney. Some pundits project Mack to be a better fit for the Texans 3-4 defense. However, our sources in Houston have told us the Texans are not considering taking Mack with the No. 1 overall pick. The Texans are going to draft Jadeveon Clowney if they select with the first spot.
The only way the Texans won't take Clowney is if they trade down. Sources have said repeatedly - and we've been posting it for weeks - that Houston won't trade down at a discount. It would take a package similar to the Robert Griffin III trade with the Rams and Redskins two years ago. That package included three first-round picks and a second-round pick. Another trade package that sources used as an example of what would be necessary to get Houston to move out of the first pick is the Ricky Williams trade where the Saints gave their entire draft class, plus picks in the next year's draft.
Our sources have told us that Johnny Manziel isn't an option at No. 1 either. With Manziel and Mack out of consideration, the Texans are locked in on Clowney if they keep their pick.

@ChronBrianSmith: Jadeveon Clowney was just asked if #Texans will regret passing on him at No. 1. "I don't think they're going to pass," he said smiling. #NFL
I saw on Twitter where people are saying the Jaguars will be taking Manziel at #3, but St. Louis is trying to trade their #2 so a team could move up to draft him ahead of Jacksonville.
Edit here are the tweets:
Holden_Caulfield , get in here and spin this![]()
Vince Young and JFF battling it out for the starting position. That's must see tv.
. but then again mclain, who supports the texans, would say something like that so the texans will draft manziel
He probably would, but good thing the Texans don't give him inside info anymore![]()
dudes been pushing to take manziel ever since they secured the #1 pick![]()
Johnny Jaguar... u gna have to change that avatar![]()
Mayock revealed his mock... has the Raiders taking Watkins at 5, and trading up to grab Derek Carr at 28
Clowney to Texans, Robinson to Rams, Mack to Jags, Matthews to Browns to round out the top 5. Football to Dallas
full mock here
ewww at mack
Mack is a stud. I wouldn't mind going Mack/Carr either. The worst case scenario for us would be if Mack and Watkins are both gone
can mack be an everydown lb? i know for the jags defense he would project as a leo. but i would rather take jake matthews if the texans select clowney![]()
i'm not a pro scout, but i've watched a bunch of his game tapes. to me, he's not a guy that fits into a certain spot of your defense. he's a guy that your defense is going to make a spot for, regardless of who else you have. his pass rush is well do ented, but i've seen him take on linemen in the run game, and he's not bad in coverage either (better covering backs in the flats and the screen game)
Johnny said today that he does not want to be drafted by the Jags. They have said
they are not going to draft him...........Maybe he will drop enough for Jerry to make a
run at him.....The promoter in Jerry will not pass on him up...Count on it
If Johnny happens to fall to #16 there is no doubt in my mind that Jerry will draft him.
Leave it to the Browns to use a top 5 pick on a RT. If Mack is gone they either need to take Watkins or trade out. Or just say it and take JFF.
McClain is re ed and always wrong.
He backtracked in his next tweet
