Possibly, put remember the Spurs have both his and Diaw's Bird rights. They are enough under the Luxury tax they could pay both 5mil a year and still be able to use the Full MLE and BAE this year offseason w/o going over.

Patty cakes sparked us and our rhythm was better with him in the game rather than parker at times.
There were a couple times last night where I was screaming at Pop to get him back in the game. Good things happen when the Tasmanian Devil steps on the court! That hustle play where he dove and tipped the ball to Manu already on the fast break was a perfect example of the type of blue collar player he is.
Dude plays like he is plugged in.

Early in the series he was tentative. If he just lets out the stops he's a big weapon.
His dive for the ball that ended with the Manu dunk was pure hustle, the strongest desire to be the man to the 50/50 ball. For this alone, Patty deserves a "Patty is awesome" thread.

tbh i was surprised he exercised his option to stay, since he got virtually no playing time last year, but he has stepped up in a big way this year
