    They're going to use the stretch provision on him, which will reduce his cap hit to like 3 million per year. That is if they don't find a way to unload him.

    Jesus Christ, just thinking about the gymnastics the Lakers have to do to build a roster is making my head hurt. IF (big IF) Melo signs, it's basically him, Kirby, Randle, Gasol, Nash (who will be on the injured list by Christmas), that rookie PG, who isn't NBA ready, and nothing else, at the cost of about 61 million . What's their bench going to be? D-Fenders players? Mitch and Co. are really stupid enough to believe that's even a playoff team in the West?

    Lakers are a mess.

    Kobe was healthy until the last 5 or 6 games of the regular season, when they were still in 8th place with Pau/Dwight/Artest/Kobe. Christ! Oh and Dwight was injured the year with Kobe.
